So much to do; lots of free things (which students love!); clearly a lot of effort goes into this; however should be more clear about "freshers" and "refreshers" and ensure all new first year students are informed well in advance about the fairs!!!

Freshers in Belfast was fantastic. There were many events planned such as fresher fairs and nights out. Whether you like to dance or whether you like to chat in a bar, there was something for everyone. I highly recommend getting involved in as much as possible during freshers, this is key to meeting new people. And often the friends you meet in freshers become your permanent friends.

I found Fresher's Week to be an incredible experience, the SU held all kinds of events to get students acquainted with one another and all the clubs and societies held their own mixers and welcome events, the only problem was there was too much to do! The Fresher's Fair was an excellent chance to make connections and get signed up for all the clubs and societies, as well as to collect a lot of free thingamabobs.

Meeting new people comes down to just braving it and going up to someone and chatting!! Even if it’s just a question or something, it’ll get someone talking and you’ll find their vibe and decide if you/ they’re interested! Best thing to do is to just go for it!!

Freshers week is what made the start of uni so amazing! Meeting new people who would become your friends for life, heading to your first few lectures hungover but excited about this new chapter, and then doing it all again! Every night gave me butterflies, I wouldn't change it for the world!!!

Excellent week for the dudes I must say, every day seemed Wednesday like. Maybe because it was Wednesday everyday, my dudes.

The students union put on so many events over the whole week, my year they had Jedward and Bwitched play as well as foam parties and paint parties! All the nightclubs also do so many promotions across the week so there is somewhere to go every night of the week!

Freshers week is definitely a must do for all students starting university! It helps the new 'freshers' to get to know their surroundings and become familiar with the atmosphere and style of university and student life. It allows them to interact with new people, including those who are not in their course. They can experience different workshops within the universities and also get a feel for the night life!

I would say that my freshers experience was very good. I went and saw the freshers fair that took place in my SU. It also had a refreshers fair so if you didn't sign up for a club at the start of the year you could later on. Everyone was so friendly and made me feel right ah home straight away.
