Queen's University Belfast was founded as Queen's College in 1845, before becoming a university in its own right in 1908. Today, it is a member of the Russell Group and an international centre of research and education and a major part of the fabric of Northern Ireland. Queen's University Belfast is the ninth oldest university in the UK.
Uni so far has been mostly great, it can get very lonely at times so it helps to have a few close friends you know you can always call on. University has offered support in all aspects of itself and if you look and ask for it you will get along just fine. I study drama and there should definitely be more facilities for rehearsals however I understand it is still a small sector and so once they improve and become more established, further resources and facilities should be accessible.
The university is generally quite quick with their response to concerns. For example maintenance requests are dealt with the next day. I would say that this university is truly very Irish so if you are looking for an international experience do not come here.
