The uni is very nicely built with lots of things to do around campus! I felt comfortable learning there and would recommend it to anyone wanting to go there. I never had an issue with any lectures or classes and the staff help massively

MMU had an attractive campus, the facilities were always clean and my course was well structured and organised. I was never part of the union and my course led me straight into nursing.

The student union runs loads of activities including free sports classes through the week. This means I don’t need to waste money on a gym membership. The campus is quite small with a park in the centre of it which is nice

My university is versatile and accommodates all students across the world. The facilities that the university provide allow myself and students to grow and develop through their educational journey. Support it provide by the university emensuring that any problems students have, the university tries to support them. I have been at the university for 5 years now and I am currently studying a masters degree. My undergraduate degree was tough but with the support from the university I was able to get through it. Not only did the students union provide advice and help students with accommodation. Night life and general enquiries. The university also provided energy loans when required, access to printers, computers and an amazing library.

It's a good uni, great nights life and good facilities all around. Easy to get a job as a student either in campus or with the many shops around. Most lecturers help. Never had any trouble

Campus is mostly in one area, especially for creative studies students. Near to city centre which is great, you can get the bus for about £1.50 or just walk it in 10mins. Lots of toilets, accessible and unisex. Buildings have a reception and staff on desks are really helpful. Tutors on fashion course are knowledgeable in most areas but could improve through more understanding of unisex clothing as currently only menswear and womenswear collections are available. Lots of help offered for CVs and preparing for jobs, very active when answering questions and replying to emails.

Campus is amazing & facilities are too. The library is just amazing, open 24/7 with lots of useful resources. The psychology department is soooo good, and has the best building as well

The support i have received at uni has surpassed all expectations, not only from my lecturers, tutors etc, but the support from the students union has helped me with my studies. If there has ever been any confusion with a lecture, you are always welcomed to seek help. The same applies with being absent - they help to ensure you keep up to date with the work and complete it to your best ability.

I am an international student enrolled on a business management course with Man Met. Besides the course being arranged perfectly for me to have time to also get a job, the teachers are friendly, the building is amazing and the resources are fantastic. The library has everything one would need, the building is located close to the city centre. I like walking so I walk to Piccadilly every time I go to uni. I was unfortunate enough to be involved in a car accident that led to brain damage. The help I got from the disability hub was absolutely fabulous. I did not expect it to be so adapting to students with disability. It is all confidential so none of my colleagues knew what I went through and that I were eligible for extensions. Best choice I ever made, enrolling on this course at Man Met.

It’s a really good University. On my Event management course all the teachers are really lovely, helpful and knowledgeable and push you to get top marks. Everyone around is cool and laid back. The uni is a big advocate for sustainability so you learn a lot about it whilst being here. Also everyone has a met card with up to 1k a year on it so you get free stuff on campus and from any organisation associated with it.

I'm currently on my final year in MMU and I can't stress how thankful I am to all the University team, especially to my lecturers. As an EU student, when I first submitted my application I wasn't sure of what to expect and I was quite insecure about my English proficiency. During my first and second year I was only worried about passing the course, as I wasn't sure of what I wanted to do with my life. However, the more time I spent in university and the more lectures I attended I realised how supportive the staff are. Lecturers have been the ones who motivated me to reach my full potential and to become ambitious about my future. They are the ones who have impacted me both as a person and as a student. Looking back now, I wish I'd made more use of all the support that the university offers for students, such as writing consultations, IRP support, workshops of all types and jobs for students, among others. As a draw back, I'd say that the canteen food needs to go down on price! otherwise, the only ones who can afford to eat at university are the ones who get money on their met card; leaving EU and International students out. It's unfair.

Great location for campus, only 5 minutes away from the train station and a 10/15 minute walk to the very centre of Manchester. I couldn’t have wished for a better course to have taken at university, from the organisation to the lecturers everything was great. The library is also huge with a number of floors and plenty of seating.

Very easy access to everything, staff are friendly and each building is near each other so easy to get about

Great university and great memories i’ve had here! Wouldnt have changed it for the world! The university has supported me more than enough over the past for years, with grants, met card money, all the extra support! definitely don’t think i would have made it through without the help! They helped me find a placement in the US, a year i would have never experienced if it wasnt for MMU! best few years of my life!!

A very modern university with the latest technology and re-invented work spaces. Not only is the building itself aesthetically pleasing to walk around and be in, but the support is phenomenal and the lecture styles are suited for everyone. I feel there are many benefits to use to an advantage throughout the course. All of which is also find is very well organised, structured and easy to follow.

Easy to get around as it is a very compact campus. Really nice library as well which is open 24/7 365 days a year. Also the union is good 2.50 for a fosters an on a Wednesday its a great start to the night before hot mess

The MMU campus is very easy to navigate around, the business building is a little bit of a maze but nothing I didn’t get used to after a few lectures and seminars. The business management course is always interesting my timetable is shorter than most courses which leaves me plently of extra time to work, study and socialise. The student union always puts on exciting events that attract everyone, my favourite events are the pretty little thing sample sales. The career services are extremely helpful in answering any career questions you have. I have made multiple appointments with them to edit my cv and help me find a job. My overall experience with uni has been great.

The university overall is a great place to study; good facilities, very welcoming lecturers and a good variety of courses to study. However, the university does lack in spaces for students to study, the library is very small and has only a few floors limiting the amount of students to be able to use it as well as the limited amount of computers and technology available the library does not help when it comes to studying. There is no study rooms available on each of the campuses as there are only lecture and seminar rooms. The lack of food places on campus also is a concern for aspiring students as there is only one tiny canteen per campus and takes an hour or more of waiting in queues to get lunch meaning that you will be waiting an awful long time or you will need to go out of campus to get food. The WiFi and internet connection on campus is terrible, as a student you will encounter many many trips to IT services for the campus WiFi acting up, unfortunately nothing has been done to improve it although they have numerous complaints hourly. The university although does claim to promote diversity and equality, it really doesn’t. I mean that in the sense that people who have specific diets i.e vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, kosher, halal, etc. There is very little variety for you, on most days you will need to go off campus to find food as they do not cater on campus. Additionally, ethnic religious dates are not counted as Holidays, i.e, hannukah, holi, eid, Ramadan, etc. Students must be marked absent for participating and therefore have their attendance punished. In addition to this, the university union shop is very misleading and disappointing as items are priced two to three times more than the amount compared to shops off campus, for the exact same item. This is truly exploitative of the university. Furthermore, the university fails to recognise that having a large ampunt of students attending does require having an adequate amount of water closet facilities. Students can be seen queuing outside of both males and females toilets at all times of day as there is a lack of enough toilets to cater for them. Being an student at this university I have seen a few of the lackings, some of which I have stated briefly above. However, the university does have it’s perks too; studying here I have had ample opportunity to try different cultures foods as it so close to the chains of ethnic food restaurants. The university being so close to the heart of city centre is another great perk. Also, the university has a great variety of societies to join and be apart of, each teaching you different things and allowing you to get involved with activities you enjoy. Thank you for reading my review.
