Was advertised as being a lot better than it is. Lectures are rigid and the same all the way through.

The campus overall is good, facilities are okay however I think they could be better.. sometimes limited use of stuff in the university itself. I study forensic science and I don't think we do enough hands on work, we are hardly ever in the lab and if we are it's rushed through and that's not only my opinion that's from a few people in my class aswell. I also feel some lecturers at LJMU are very rude and don't want to help even if it's just repeating something they've previously said which I think is a disgrace considering how much we have to pay for 1 year of study. The overall organisation of my experience has been very poor and I wouldn't recommend LJMU to anyone, as I have a disability which is not seen but have been diagnosed from a kid even with all this on paper it took until nearly half way through 2nd year for them to start giving me some sort of support and get an ISLP in place, even at that when it was all sorted they can't follow through the right procedure and just pass you from pillar to post which is very stressful when trying to study a degree. I think LJMU offer very poor support for students with disabilities even though they say they do, at the disability meetings over 60% of the students feel that their grades have been affected due to the lack of support from the university and helping aids. A student took her own life at LJMU in 2017 the university completely hid this from everyone, which is a disgrace they should of acknolodged their student and paid respects to her life. I feel overall the university is around a 2/10 and I really wish I had of choose another one of my choices. The only decent thing about the university would be the caterers services as they have helped at pointing myself and some other students I know towards the right career of our choice and how to get there.
