Amazing club with a great history as the oldest rugby club in the world (Guy's Hospital Rugby Football Club). Plenty of rugby on both Wednesday and Saturday as part of student leagues + cups, UH (United Hospitals) cup, NAMS cup (national association of medical students) and Saturday men's rugby (Kent leagues). There are also regular exhibition matches throughout the year against sides such as Cambridge and also against the Penguins (Guy's old boys team). This latter match is part of the Scanlan cup which is held every summer and forms part of a day of celebration for the club which culminates in a black tie ball in the evening. Another noticeable match is the macadam cup which is held every year against Kings. There is also the opportunity to play for the United Hospitals team. Very friendly and welcoming club. Great socials every week which are inclusive of everyone in the club and involve anything from Guy's bar (student union), curry evenings, Christmas dinner and various themed socials with other sports teams. The club is also actively involved in participating in charity events organised by other societies and actively organising charity events in procurator for PACS (Pengiuns Against Cancer) which was set up by Guy's old boys. There is a freshers tour which is held every November and is thoroughly enjoyable, in addition there is a summer tour with the girls netball team.

Good resources, training occurs in Honor Oak Park training grounds. The team and coaches are very friendly, pretty much a dysfunctional family. Be prepared to be put on the liver transplant waiting list with the amount of alcohol consumption expected of you. Prerequisite to joining the team is a love for gin.
