Overall the teaching is good but the admin organisation is so bad it detracts from everything else. Also the SU and student community isn’t great if you’re not in a sports society

Students at Kings are great as is the location. I am based largely at the Guy's Campus in london Bridge right next to Borough Market and a short walk to waterloo. The way the lectures are taught is however very old fashioned and the majority involve being talked at for hours on end. Many of the lecturers teaching on my course are not actually qualified in the profession the course is aimed at so content of the lectures is often misguided.

Personally, my course (Comparative literature) doesn't have an exceptional service of help, it lacks in good communication between lecturers and the students, the department itself isn't very helpful in certain areas as many of my fellow students feel the same-they just don't do enough. The facilities are average, there aren't many quiet study places for one to go (the library and other rooms on campus are usually packed). I love my course and the modules I have done so far have made me more aware of the world around me (in terms of cultural experience), which is probably the best thing I've gained from my time at KCL. The Strand campus is okay however the King's building alone isn't the only place a KCL student would have lectures/seminars at, there's also the building at Drury Lane, the Virginia Woolf building, Bush House, etc. For a fresher, this is probably daunting as the campus seems to be all over the place, it is highly inconvenient especially if you have 2 classes back to back in separate locations. All in all, KCL isn't a horrible university but it definitely isn't up to the high standards that I expected it to be.

The campus is too far from any halls of residence which means that you often get stuck in London traffic if travelling by bus!

The campus I'm on isn't great, there aren't many facilities and barely anywhere to sit and socialise. The library is also incredibly small and difficult to find space in. Waterloo campus

The organization is quite poor especially in the medical school. The course is structured well, however, there is lack of proper communication with students

King’s is full of extremely driven, ambitious people from all around the world. Coming to King’s from any background, there is no doubt you will have your world perspective changed. King’s attracts the best and the brightest so confidence is key; open-mindedness, self-reliance and a steady set of personal interests will set you up to succeed in London. Strong academics and extra-curriculars are found in the majority here - it’s a big help to come in with a good degree of self-knowledge. Despite this, it is very much true that London is what you make of it. With the right mindset and a willing to get out there, the King’s uni experience pushes the boundaries which many others have. Most students here make closer friends with those from the department rather than from halls so it’s important to regularly attend class! At King’s you will find extremely accepting, politically aware and dynamic people.

There are loads of facilities and services to access. The Maughan library is a gem. However, the admin and overall organisation is poor and significantly affects the quality of student life.

Very small, dispersed campus setting. The facilities are ok. The course is somewhat disorganized and the careers services aren't so helpful.

I thoroughly enjoyed studying Law at Kings. There were some modules in particular that were taught very well including family law and company law. My third year was by far the smoothest. Unfortunately there were some things that I was not particularly pleased with, especially in first year. Eg. What career options there are for lawyers, how to properly answer a problem question and essay question, what extra reading is necessary to get a first. These were all questions I had to answer myself.

Mostly Overrated university. Staying there only for the name although education is overpriced and professors aren’t so good. Not much help. Communication is awful. Students are mostly full of themselves. But it’s KCL !!! Worth the name!!!..... right?

The locations are amazing, and obviously a reputable uni. But very stressful, lecturers are hit and miss in terms of responding and being helpful. Some lecturers in my experience treat you like school children.

The campus are spread out over london. Some are more well updated than others. The computers are always taken. The food is overpriced. The gyms and lecturers themselves are great. The calibar of students is great. Cpurse organisation was not great but not to bad.

Uni is great. The vibe and people are all wonderful as Some teachers are amazing others not as good, but that will be the same for any institution. Disappointed with the strike action, it’s effect on students was not compensated for which I think is bad of the university as we are the consumer.

I love this university and the modules and courses are so interesting and in depth, but the administration is so disorganised - late essay feedback, changing deadlines, lecturers hard to contact, etc.

No real campus setting with only buildings, the facilities are fine. The course is somewhat disoragnized and the student bond isn't that great.

The main campus building is big, even as a third year it's easy to discover rooms or corridors you never knew about. However, this means that you can always find a desk to study, a computer space to use and a place to buy food. There are also lifts available going to every floor of the campus which makes it accessible for all.

KCL is a great school when it comes to rankings but the education itself isn’t really that challenging or engaging. It’s cool that you can do the original degree offered, the AKC, for free though. Definitely do it and don’t say you “don’t have time” — it’s an hour a week and you definitely do :) I think the content of that was almost More worthwhile than my degree.

As a History student on the Strand campus, I'd say that there's an enormous amount of support from extremely dedicated staff. The building is difficult to navigate, new security measures are a pain in the ass. Bureaucracy is also hell, and it's difficult to book a room (officially anyway). Sports facilities are limited to gyms.

The campus is in the heart of London which makes traveling to lectures awesome. However you get minimum lectures which makes the £9250 price tag look ridiculous. London universities like kings enable you to have a very diverse night life.

I’ve really enjoyed my time at King’s so far. The careers services especially had impressed me and given me the opportunity to attend many events, even as a first year student. Sometimes the department can lack organisation (some of my seminar teachers haven’t shown up for class, etc.) and the lectures can be a little boring. I would have liked for the lecturers to be a little more engaging and involved with the students on the whole.
