Canterbury Christ Church University

Canterbury Christ Church is a really good university. Many people look down upon because it does not hold as high esteem as the university of Kent. However, this university is much more genuine and the staff and students care for each other. The campus is a good size and there is loads of nearby accommodation so it means you can roll out of bed and be there quickly. The student union has a lot to offer, with pretty much every society available that you could think of. There is something for everyone.

The lecturers are all pretty nice and knowledgeable about what they're teaching which is great. They're great at teaching you the content and they provide reading that's genuinly helpful for before and after the lecture like when you do reports. Augustine House is pretty nice and has a ton of books and study space which is ideal because you're not fighting for a place to study.

Unfortunately I do not live on campus I commute but overall the university is really good. There are always on lecturers and tutors on deck to give a helping hand when needed.

University staff are approachable and friendly. Canterbury Christ Church University is a relatively small university, but Ive found this means lecturers are more attentive and even senior members of faculty know the entire cohort and facilitate in their studies.

Campus is just the right size - small enough to get around easily but big enough to have everything - accommodation, big lecture theatres and decent labs. I study a science degree and it's definitely not too crowded in the labs which is a huge plus. Only downside is that the labs are a bit under equipped at times but this has improved a lot recently. Campus facilities are great, staff are all very friendly and helpful, honestly I'm really enjoying it here. Giving career services 3 stars because I've never seen them - tried to book an appointment but they were always fully booked no matter how far ahead I looked.

The campus is very nice. What I like about my university is that all the staff members are very helpful. I like the food that university makes on campus it is very tasty and low in price. The amount of one to one sessions are great as well.

Small compact campus that's very easy to find your way around. Excellent support from lectures in both uni work and outside issues. A huge number of societies that can be easily joined where you make new friends for life. University buildings are always being upgraded and repaired to make it a better learning experience, the same with the technology, an overall brilliant place

In the heart of the city, lots around to do and good nightlife. The university is large and ever growing with a huge number of courses on offer. The library is large and is split into a quiet and silent zone with multiple private study rooms as well as computers dotted around the 3 floors. To substitute the studies there are many clubs and societies on offer and all go out on Wednesday nights to the various student friendly bars for their socials.

I think the university is a great university which cares about its students. I studied a history degree and the lecturers were always willing to help and care about all their students. I think the university has great facilities, especially the library however it could do with having more copies of core books. The student union is good but is not as emphasised by the university as other universities.

The university itself and the campus is very good and very easy to access. Has brilliant facilities. Needs to work on organisation of lessons/lectures.

Canterbury is a lovely city with loads to do. The campus itself is in a great location and feels quite historic. Good facilities overall, but I feel there could be better engagement with students. Other universities manage this better.

My university is in a great location in the centre of Canterbury. The campus itself has many catering facilities and has recently introduced gender neutral toilets around some buildings on site. Parts of the campus itself is as old as the 1600's so has lots of history around it. The staff and students are extremely friendly and helpful towards each other and the facilities suit all courses perfectly with plenty of computers and laptops both on site and in the library (with more recently added).

Course was good but felt like some of the tutors thought teaching was just reading from a PowerPoint, however I did have a couple tutors with good industry experience. The facilities were good and the campus was kept clean

The campus is laid out so that everywhere is very easily accessible. There are very good career advice services that students can access at any time. The library is even 24/7!

Campus is lovely, however as it's so close to town there isn't much there except food court, bookshop and cafe. But then again it's a five minute walk away from the city centre so you don't need it!

Most tutors are supportive and welcoming. Good materials are given to support academic learning. The buildings are mordern and pleasing to the eye.

Uni is great just needs to change its name to the Uni of Canterbury, also more available dates for sports teams trials as some people may miss them due to work

The overall experience at my five years at university would some up into the words: life changing. As an international student the country and the university provided me with guidance through my adult life and shaped me to who I am now. Moreover, with the the support from tutors I developed my academic knowledge throughout the years and got involved in many practical activies and projects which will help me find the dream career.

The university facilities are great, the library is new and the staff are very helpful. My course was fine art but sadly they don’t do it anymore but it was a nice, small, friendly course. Everyone at the uni is like a family and I think it’s due to the fact that there’s other universities around (aka Kent) which results in some friendly competition. The best moments at uni we’re definitly getting on the bus to club chemistry on a Wednesday and just having everyone chanting cccu songs. It always gave me goose bumps.

The university is good, although when commenting it is hard to get actively involved within the uni. Moreover, some students attendance is shocking and t is not fair how people can go on to the next yea with such a low attendance while others make every efffort to go in.
