I was very shy first coming to uni but joining a sports team was the best thing I did. Joining the BU Falcons helped me to come out of my shell more and make loads of great friends. You meet a lot more people from loads of different courses and it just adds to the overall university experience, I don't think I would have enjoyed university as much if I didn't join a team. We had weekly socials on a Wednesday where we would go out but we also did sober socials like go ice skating or the cinema, it's such a great sports team and you just feel like you're apart of a family

The society was great for my social life and they had brought all the necessary equipment so that we could train in a safe environment. It was really fun and made my university experience the best it could be.

Joining a society at uni was one of the best decisions I made at uni. The BU Falcons have socials every week and we even have sober socials, so we really try to get everyone in the society to mingle with people they don’t necessarily know very well on the team of train with.

Joining the BU Falcons was one of the best decisions I made at university. We’ve always got socials every week and even done some sober socials, so it gives people the chance to mix with people on the team who they don’t really know or train with. The committee on our society are really organised and work hard to make sure everything is planned, especially for comp.
