I'm doing events management and the course is very much up to us. we don't do trips or anything exciting and nothing hands on until the end of second year. The careers service is awful for placements abroad. The student union is fun and there's always cool events going on there.

The university has lots of opportunities for you as a student to take part in. Provides help and support if you need it financially and for wellbeing.

Good overall Uni experience, the University offers careers services and support through the years. The student Union is okay, a lot of interesting societies and clubs, from Harry Potter Society to Disney society to Equestrian society. The campus is quite nice and it includes some new buildings (Fusion building) and a new one on the way, along with great technologies and computers in the libraries. There is a study centre open 24/7, but the library is open for grand part of the day too 7/7. The lecture theatres are quite new as well and lectures and seminars are organised pretty well. It is easy to get in contact with the major part of academic staff and I find them quite supportive.

Over the 4 years I have been here, the facilities have improved drastically as they have remodelled the campus with new buildings and bus station. My course hasn't been great, a lack of care and organising from my lecturers has made my life 100 times harder. Personally haven't interacted with the careers services but I have heard and seen they do a great job .

The uni is ok, there are quite a few good spaces for studying. My course is a bit of a shambles and feels quite unorganized sometimes and the academic support system could be improved.

Good uni other than lack of support , uni is good and area is lovely uni is all new inside with lots of resources , business course is only 9 hours of lectures per week and it's always a big course

The academic staff are usually of a high quality, having come from the industry in which you are studying towards, and the experience of the academic staffs own careers is apparent within the course structures and content. However, the administrative side of the university, is severely lacking in coordination and professionalism. There seems to be no drive for this to change either, the Dean of the University takes pay rises while the university itself drops in rankings. Its clear that the university is run more like a business than an educational institution, though if a business was repeatedly lowering its standards and quality, would the CEO gain more pay from this? No. After a few bad encounters with departments within the University, those who handle travel abroad apportubities and those who handle monetary issues, it become clear that there was no liklihood of improvement. The most annoying thing, it seemed, was that those who you would wish to complain about, are the only ones you can complain to, and with a "you can only dispute our decisions, not our decision making process" it seems a pitiless system. Good teaching standards, but even the academic staff suffer the same problems.

We have a great student union, our campus isn't exactly aesthetically appealing. Bournemouth universities nightlife isn't the best but there are a few decent clubs around. The lecturers and staff are helpful. An issue with the university is that it is overpopulated meaning not everyone can get a place in halls.

Campus is relatively new, facilities are good, my course (Business Studies) is quite good, Student union does a lot for the students, the careers services are readily available, and the whole uni on an overall is quite good

The campus is great, the buildings could he a little refilurbished, however, the lecture halls are clean, the lecturers are supportive and explain things, and are just an email away. I study Sports Management, so its a lot of work but the lecturers are always helping.

Updating and building new buildings that the campus desperately needs. Could is surprisingly easy for a masters course I was expecting more of a challenge. Food is substandard, uninspiring and too expensive

The Lansdowne campus doesn’t feel like a university one it’s different buildings and there’s no real sense of community.

The sports facilities are good and they offer a large variety of classes. Also the clubs and societies are varied, fun and well organised. As for the course, support services and general organisation, they could definitely be improved.

The lansdown campus isn't very good and is limited to the other student opportunities such as sports and other unions

The university is a great one, it has two different campuses and although I’m only at one of them I occasionally get to go to the other one. The staff are all so supportive too.
