Great University for Nursing. Allows you to have a range of opportunites during placement and goood support for academic study. Good career service especially in third year... many career events and advice on starting career as a nurse as it may be daunting at first for most people. Campus has just been expanded. Good travel experiences through the uni too. Birmingham has great nightlife many different universities and good opp to meet new people and socialise with others. A range of campuses in areas close the universities. Could be better for support when you are really struggling and things don't go as planned... better communication from placement and universities could potentially better student experience.

The university is a very encouraging university! However I am on the north campus, soon to be changed, this campus is not exciting and not a lot to offer. Therefore I didn't enjoy my few years at uni as the campus let it down. I have idea about the SU or what they do.

I was at south campus at BCU, the actual facilities are absolutely fantastic. As it's the faculty of health, it feels very clinical when you walk in. The skills rooms are fantastic, they feel like proper wards. There's loads to practice with and it's a beautiful campus. However, teaching leaves a lot to be desired. My course lead was absolutely fantastic- I cannot fault him. He looked after me and made sure that all my needs were met. However, I found lectures and lessons could often not be of use for me, and that often they were irrelevant. Timetables could suddenly change- lecturers could be rude and unhelpful. I absolutely despised my time at BCU

The campus is very well situated in the city centre. You have an easy access to different facilities like shopping, food and just fin with friends. Recently the campus opened a new side building, more space more rooms more time to spend with your friends and areas to do work.

The course is amazing and even though not situated on campus BCU never fails to make me included in activities.

The campus is ideally located being in Birmingham City Centre so ideal for both commuters and those living in halls as everything is so close. The university really shows appreciation for students that work hard through something called the Academic Awards Scheme where they offer things like free trips abroad (all expenses covered), free courses like Prince2 and numerous other opportunities that you only get if your grades are good. The student union isn’t great but Birmingham’s night life is decent. Campus’s are all newly built so really nice and the library has just been done up so it’s good.

The campus is very modern, they just renovated an attached building with more seating area and rooms for students to chill and study. The facilities are amazing, a huge library with every book that you need for your course. The course itself is interesting as im studying psychology so every semester theres a different module and its great to learn about variety of stuff. My experience is that i would definitely need to go out more and explore

Manafacturing Degree Student I had a great time being at Birmingham uni, met different people from all over the place, visited different areas from this for the night life. Accommodation is as expected, always on the piss until you’re a few weeks a way from exams. Didn’t have any problem bring people into my place. Classes were decent, didn’t really have too many problems with lectures, other students etc.

Student Union shop is expensive, food at Uni is expensive. Student events are boring and there are hardly any fun and good ones. City centre Campus is lacking more shops or more of a lively atmosphere. Facilities are okay they close the Uni too early and only allow you to use a small part of it at night. Not enough rooms and study areas available for when exam and study period arrives, always find yourself looking for somewhere to sit and study longer than you should. Not enough computers either. For how much each student pays per year it’s ridiculous how much this University lacks especially in 2018.

Birmingham city university is located in one of the most best cities of uk. It’s midland location made it a great spot to move away from home. Great transport links as to literally half way. The university having different campuses which are too far apart made it hard for me. Health faculty is separated which makes it hard to make friends with other people in different courses. The university doesn’t cater for January intakes as much.

I am apart of a very welcoming, supportive and helpful university. With staff to cater every individual need. The support is the most important factor as it allows the students to be comfortable and happy whilst studying.

Great facilities for the Film Production Technology course. Multiple studios at industry standard, biggest green screen studio at a university in the U.K. Lecturers are very supportive and contribute to a great experience.

Curzon has great, modern facilities and great professors. I like that you get the main course book for free. I’m America and we don’t get free books over there haha

The university is very central so ideal if you are commuting as it is only a short walk from the grand central train station or some bus routes. The building is very modern and secure and requires id passes to enter the building. The teachers were very helpful and gave regular support for assignments and help for career choices. They provided us with good experiences and relevant information that was needed out in industry, making us prepared. I am unsure on all the facilities that the university had to offer however the library was full of up to date books and plenty of resources to complete assignments. There was also plenty of additional study areas to complete assignments. The university also offered free Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint etc to all students throughout their 3 years at university.

Campus is very nice and new. University itself is trying harder to be better. But not much investment into the students tbh more thought into building and aesthetics

The university is a wonder place to study in. The facilities are amazing and so easy to access rather than having different rooms scattered all over the place. The specialist studios for editing, photography and filming are some of the best I’ve ever seen. The staff are friendly and helpful and the uni cafe always has great food on offer.

Really great facilities. Somehow this place gets tons of money and business links which means we get all new kit. Staff are very friendly and accommodating in my experience, tends to have smaller class sizes (think more secondary school, less giant lecture halls in movies)

The university has great facilities and a lot of space. The library has a good variety of books and is open 24 hours which is great!

Amazing facilities in city centre (especially for creative subjects like art and media) although student union could do with more work and expansion, friendly atmosphere throughout the campus

City centre campus is super modern and the facilities are amazing. There's a lot of services for students ranging from careers advice and mock interviews to mental health support. There can sometimes be a lack of communication between the uni and it's students when it comes to certain deadlines but on a whole it doesn't cause too much of an issue.

The campus is constantly developing and there is more space being added each year to accomodate the students. The organisation of my course (BA English Literature) has been impeccable with set deadlines that we are aware of from the beginning of the semester and therefore there are no surprises and we are able to be prepared. Lecturers are friendly and helpful and always available to provide feedback on anything you ask them for. I have truly enjoyed my time on this course and at this university and I will miss it.
