I go to City Centre campus but my residence was near City North campus. Curzon building is in city centre and has just been renovated so it's gorgeous with cool seating and big open windows. But there was and still is a major issue with the WiFi - not only is it not stable but it is non existent in some places. The food facilities were good but expensive. The library had everything I needed but were a bit slow when I ordered books from other departments/buildings. I study English and it feels like the English department are particularly friendly, available and helpful compared to other departments. The course content allowed choice and a range of topics. Student union try very hard but can't seem to gather membership and support which was specifically evident during elections. In terms of careers services, the employability advisors are incredible and go above what is expected of them, following up on your process after your appointment with them. My experience at university as been incredible and a lot of my enjoyment has been because of the greatness that is BCU.

Studying masters degree for design, could be more prioritied for masters and post grad studying. Buildings are new but lack enough rooms for all students, communal work spaces are lacking and could benefit from more computer labs

The Eastside campus is really modern and has amazing facilities in the arts department. The viscous area is really spacious which allows you to have a bit of space to yourself to work.

The variety of facilities that are available for students within the library, lecture halls and study room etc.

The campus itself is great nice and new all up to date. However the lectures treat you like your in preschool; put your hand up for registration and was actually once told not to touch the sheets on the table while the lecture left the room! I had one or two good lectures but the others were useless and where no help when it came to any questions you needed answering.

located on the city centre campus (cursor street and Parkside building) brand new facilities, lots of investment in uni buildings and accommodation.

The uni has a purpose built campus for health and life science courses meaning there are skills rooms and labs available to practice clinical skills prior to using these on placement. Following a refurbishment there is a new IT suite however there still is a lack of computers and so smaller rooms for IT could be made available. The student experience for those on my course hasn’t been too great as we are often in 5 days a week, and days are usually 9-5 meaning we miss out on any society meet ups or extra curricular activities held by the uni. Organisation could also be improved as there are often last minute timetable changes and exams and assignments are often due immediately following or whilst still on an assessed placement.

Amazing campus, outstanding faculties and they also help me in anyway possible. My course is very interesting and the college also has alot or fun activities to reduce stress.

Absolutely brilliant uni, investing money all the time. New campus was brill. Lecturers are so invested and absolutely brilliant. Couldn't recommend enough.

Our campus was a bit further out compared to the main campus so our student union would only come and visit every so often. Other than signs in the lift and leaflets in the library we didn’t receive much help about mental health and support at our campus. Career service was helpful in the whole Cv, Personal statement etc however actually helping find a job in the creative arts its was very minuscule. I liked what I was learning however, was it really worth all of this debt, stress and financial strain, No.

The Birmingham City University has a nice location with good transportation links. The library inside the uni is nice and big with many private rooms available for booking, which helps a lot with group work.

The facilities are excellent at this university, there are computers and open work spaces all around the Curzon campus. There has been a drastic improvement since the the times it was based in Perry Barr. The university has a proactive and practical approach to teaching students. There were two trips all paid for by my university , one that was international.

Overall great. Nice, updated buildings and facilities. Staff can be amazing but can also suck. Some of the seminar rooms were awkwardly placed. Some tutors were really unhelpful.

As I'm learning much more about the university I attend through the months I spend here, I have realised that university life is all about exploration and discovery; the more you look the more you find. I believe that that is quite a fair and real depiction of life itself, in the sense that nothing will simply be handed to you because you are mildly interested in receiving it, you will only receive in abundance what you desire wholeheartedly. BCU has helped me learn that anything I'm going to pursue, whether it is success academically or discovery of myself, I must do it with diligence and understanding in order to succeed.

Most lecturers are wonderful and passionate, and offer an appropriate amount of support. The new campus is great for facilities, although I would enjoy being able to use boasted features such as the eye trackers, as they were promoted highly when applying but there has been no chance to actually use them. There’s sufficient opportunities for experience, and the new careers office seems helpful. All I could comment on would be more Psychology events to bring everyone together, and a way to make it easier to communicate with lecturers.

Modern buildings, adequate study space and excellent services. Lacking in organisation in the law department, especially for contract law, but other than that fairly happy.

Great campus and challenging course. As an international student, I can say that it was a good change and a better experience. I’ve met a lot of people!

This is a great university for nursing students with good facilities and lecturers. There is plenty of support for students throughout the studies. However, the course lacks organisation.

The university buildings are clean and new the staff are all incredibly helpful in the curzon building especially the libary. Unfortunately, I do not feel the societies or student union offer enough in terms of catering for everyone.

I chose to do fashion business and promotion at birmingham city university and loved the course! Could not fault the modules, and the course was built in such a way that it built your confidence and skills in the perfect order. Not being a campus uni, this did make settling in the the city a little harder and I think if you struggled to meet people there wasn’t always a wave of options of what to do. However saying this, once I joined ski society in my 2nd year I made friends for life who made my uni experience so memorable.

The university is lovely, just expanded on it to welcome new sports students. Library is great and have just put more computers in too. Can look on moodle in library catalogue to see if they have it in stock, however is quite difficult to find but library staff are amazing. Rooms are quite hot and corridors echo but not much you can do about that. Lecturers are lovely and are very understanding and good at explaining things if you don’t understand them.
