The uni is quite good, it has amazing facilities including the library and the IT utilities. Help is given in all areas for every course as well as financially and mentally. They also have an accommodation office that is happy to help to fit your needs. There are also jobs and volunteering available for students to build experience on outside their education.

QS student. The course always feels like it's lacking something. Whether it be adequate working areas or teacher who take the time to hmunderstand students

The university is a modern and well looked after university. They have more than one campus the but the campus I was located at was in cursing street. Lecturers are good and all facilities available to students are also good.

It's a really nice social uni and it's a lot of support from lecturers and tutors very good courses. Student union is so supportive and accessible. Being a student holds pride and confidence. When I first started the university I was very scared to what I was going to Exeter but it is soooo nice if I am honest I did not expect me to enjoy a uni so much the only thing is the different campuses would be better if it was all one big campus right oh well and also if there is parking available at the campuses which there is not unfortunelty but apart from that it is all perfect I think

I attend BCU as I have lived in Birmingham my entire life and wanted a university I could easily drive to. Facilities are generally very good - lots of areas for students to work in with computers however they usually become full pretty quickly especially around deadline weeks. My course is okay, some of the teachers are extremely outdated and should probably retire but generally quite organised and easy to obtain a first - 2:1 grade. Marking of assignments is always promised to be returned within 20 days and this NEVER happens. Student union is essentially non-existent - there is a very small pub but that's basically it. I commute to uni and there is only one car park which is so expensive and often used by people who don't attend the university and instead just want to park in Birmingham - I wish some sort of student parking cars was issued for the MP carpark and not for the NCP one which is a good 10 minute walk away from the city centre campus. I would recommend BCU to friends however I do think there are better unis to attend in the UK.

While the university as a whole is excellent, there are certain aspects that could be improved. For example the learning facilities. The lecture halls are fantastic, however, when it comes to independent learning, it is difficult to find a space to sit down to work. It takes near enough 30 minutes once walking throughout the entire building including all floors before finding somewhere to sit down. This could be improved upon as time is wasted finding a seat somewhere. In addition to this, the criminology course leaders should explain clearly on how the overall grading system works when it comes to getting the final degree. I think it would be beneficial if it was explained which modules counted towards the final grade or if it was just those with the highest grade that counted and how those grades impacted upon the final year.

BCU is amazing! With all the facilities provided on campus and off campus are fantastic. I couldn't have ask for a better careers support team at BCU. They have always helped me in every way possible. BCU has a range of sports teams which all students can take part of. At the campus they're are always fun activities going on! I feel really proud that I am at BCU and I want to represent the university in every way. The library is amazing place to study, is it very modern with many sockets for chargers which is always a positive thing to have around!

Every thing you need is available at the university. All staff are always available to help with whatever you need, University help or social help even support on your health, they are able to provide you with the necessary things you need. Any information you need, it can be received. There are relevant and updated information on careers which could be part time, work experience, internships or apprenticeships and graduate jobs, there are staffs there to help with this and support you all the way through.

I cannot comment on the university as a whole but the department of criminology is beyond exceptional. The staff always go above and beyond to help their students and it is clear they have a genuine passion for what they are teaching.

The teachers help us a lot with help and there's many great societies to help you socialise with other students and i often get emails to help me with my furute careers and to Putnam myself out there, it's really motivating.

Buildings are really nice, teachers really depends on luck, but good experience overall. Plenty of societies to join & computers to use if you don't have one.

BCU has achieved to have modern state of the art and constantly developing campus and facilities. The university keeps growing by creating new facilities that make the student's life easier. The BCUSU is constantly making changes and listens to what the students want, represents their ideas and creates new ways of socialising inside the campus by opening cafeterias, a campus shop and the social kitchen. My course is constantly evolving, the teachers are close to us and always there to help and guide us, I find that my course offers a lot of practical work and hands on experience which is what I believe any Media student needs and expects from a course like this. The course also encourages our professional and academic development by creating a module for that exactly. The course pushes you towards the real world and prepares you for real life work experience from the first year. The studios and equipment we can rent definitely add a lot on our experience and learning. BCU offers careers services like Careers+ and Graduate+ which are both very useful. They have drop in sessions or you can see them by booking an appointment to help you prepare for any type of job interview, discuss your career and what steps you should take next, help you write a cv and cover letter, find a job, placement/internship, mentoring, networking, online branding etc.

Communication could be improved upon attending the course and course description was beyond poor. The facilities are great & loads of people to help whenever needed.

This University is an amazing educational facility to study at. They teach a wide range of courses and provide many student societies for anyone to get involved in their spare time. I've met some great people at this university and would be happy for people to experience what Birmingham City University has to offer!

Overall the facilities were of a high standard, with lots of places to study, eat and socialise, including the university pub, which served lovely food and drinks. The lecture halls were a mixture of old and new facilities, due to there being the old millennium point building and the new parkside and Curzon buildings, however, most of the equipment needed was moderately new, although some could do with updating for the media courses, as some were broken in certain ways. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful, especially during final year when more self directed study was needed, although sometimes it was hard to follow the briefs provided and that should be looked into. Overall a great university that could do with some updated lecture halls and media equipment.

The pharmacy course is of poor quality, the work placements are of poor quality and whenever there is an assignment or exam, the marking criteria is very vague and open to some serious interpretation. The people on the course are not the friendliest; people form their little groups early on a

Birmigham City University is amazing. Such great courage to get things done and just had new block built within, with libary etc, very smart. The halls of residents within the university are all clean and tidy and well secure; everything to except for a university canpus to have. The university itself has a lot of options and a lot of help within, amazing!

This university is clean and modern and has up to date facilities. Whether it's specialist equipment or generic computers that you're after, they're is usually one available. Lectures are sometimes useful even though they are repetitive of my undergraduate years. It would be better if the course was more specialised. Location is great in terms of being in the city but just outside of the hustle and bustle of the crowds but is next to Digbeth which is useful for artistic courses and offers work spaces and opportunities for all students. I would recommend this university to potential undergraduates and postgraduates.
