Terrible league table rankings. Doesn’t show any photos or videos of the accommodation because it’s small, ugly and overpriced, you can also shit, shower and wash your hands at the same time. Most people laugh when they hear ARU, because it is a joke. Only 1 out of 5 lecturers I’ve had this year have used lecture capture. It’s a very useful resource for looking back on lectures. It’s a small uni, which means it is a closer community and it’s easy to get to know people. Unfortunately, everyone can also know your business as gossip travels fast here. The SU is a joke, there’s barely any societies and the ones that do exist seem to do barely anything compared to other unis. Don’t even try to park at uni or around Chelmsford. Parking is overpriced and impossible to get. I was told I couldn’t get a parking space within the uni although I’m a secondary career to my dad and have to drive back home to help. There’s apparently “no spaces” yet there’s actually loads in the student village. Oh, and students can’t park in the student village but lecturers can - what a joke!

The course I'm on is very intense and in-depth Not exactly what I wanted but I got the option to change my course. It's also a great place to network.

I choose to go to ARU, so then I didn't have to leave my ill mom behind. While I don't regret my decision in that regard, ARU definitely leaves many things to be desired. The faculty that I am under has good and bad aspects. When I needed support for my physical and mental health, the course lead was willing to give it. I went to the wellbeing services and they did their best to help me within their capacity. I needed to intermit for six months and they helped me with that. But when it comes to lectures and the modules in my course, this is where the university fails. They're extremely unorganised, erratic and don't have answers for when students ask about future modules.

The whole university is disorganised. They loose confidential files and lectures are changed at the last minute. Nursing tutors need training in pastoral care and their motto is “pass the buck”. Nursing placements are unrealistic expecting you to travel up to 100miles per day or move accommodation for the placement. Avoid this university.

Uni teaching buildings and facilities are top notch but lectures claim to be helpful but they don't give two shits about anything. The freshers weak was irrelevant not enough going on plus all the main events were on when people had lectures. The accommodation is rubbish, the cleaners cannot clean Well, you can hear everything through walls, and the bathrooms are ridiculously tiny. The Wi-Fi is also crap.

The university is beautiful but the lecturers are not so supportive and helpful what so ever. My experience there was not positive and I don’t believe it’s worth going there.
