Canoe & Kayaking

Aberystwyth's canoe club has been the most influential part of my time at university. Joining halfway through my first year, i was introduced to the world of white water kayaking! A beautiful mix of adrenaline and seeing some of the most beautiful landscapes that Wales has to offer. The social side of this club has landed me with friends for life, bonding you all together on and off the river. I cannot stress enough how much the club can do for a person at university who feels they are struggling or hasn't got many friends- it's awesome at making anyone of any ability welcome to try the sport. Unfortunately a lot of things like wetsuits are broken, due to wear and tear but with the limited budget we receive from university it's to be expected.
