A city full of life and lots to do in terms of entertainment. It is a great city for students with both York St John university and University of York. There is a variety of clubs and bars in terms of nightlife which are usually buzzing with students. There is also a variety of cafes and restaurants on offer most of them even providing extensive vegan and vegetarian options. Lots of attractions in the daytime including the Minster, The Shambles, The chocolate story and plenty more making York a great location for family getaways as well. It is also a secure city with a low crime rate and even on a night out a student can feel safe and comfortable getting home with well lit streets and a reliable uber service in the city.

York is a nice city with lots of bars and restaurants however the shopping scene is best out of the city with most of the city centre shops with shut or shutting within this last year. You soon learn how to do a night out right round here with choices for everyone.

There are plenty of good restaurants for fair prices, though drinks are pricey. Nights out are fun in York but there is limited option on clubs- though the universities have designated night and at certain clubs so you always feel welcome.

York is a lovely place, slightly slower pace of life than a big city. Lots of good beer and coffee, but not the most going on here.

York is a beautiful city here in the north with lots of shops, access to transport and clubs. There is a club for almost everybody and town is equidistant from both UoY ans YSJ
