- Overall it’s a good building to live in with easy access to the whole of the city - Lifts are often broken - People aren’t being peanalised for setting the fire alarm off frequently

Great location, right in the center of york. The facilities are great but the fire alarm goes off all the time but it’s halls it’s what you’ll get hahah also an easy walk both to uni and the local shopping market- Morisons.

Great location, close to shops and just a 15minute walk to the university. It is however very noisy as the walls are incredibly thin and there are a lot of loud and messy people. The fire alarm always goes off too (at least once a week) in the early hours of the morning.

The cleanliness of the building and halls was great, and the facilities were very modern. However, there was no social area which would have benefited the overall social experience as it was quite poor. Regular cleaners could be implemented to make sure the hallways and kitchens are cleaned; this would have made the accommodation worth the money a lot more. The rooms were a good size and modern, all with good en-suites.

While it was the newest accommodation at york st john there were multiple problems. The window in my flat wouldn't shut fully. The toilet seat was broken. The hot water was often not working. The shower was completely clogged. While these should have been easily fixable problems it took months fir maintenance to actually do anything. The front door was also only supposed to be able to be opened with a key fob however it was almost always broken meaning anyone could just push it and walk in and at one point in the year two people who were not students got in and vandalised the lifts before setting off the fire alarm in the middle if the night.

Social, comfortable. Very good location, close to town and university. Not really enough washing machines and dryers

Location is amazing - bang in the town centre and not far from uni at all. The rooms and communal areas in the flags are sound too

Couldn't have asked for more - great room sizes, huge kitchen with plenty of chairs and 2 sofas - excellent location in city centre and 10 minutes from Uni

En suite which is good and only 6 people in a flat and right in city centre. Didn’t get cleaned very often though
