York is an absolutely amazing student city. From the awesome, reasonably priced night life to the historic walls and adventures you can take walking around them. Everything in the centre is walking distance from eachother, with it only really taking 20 minutes (if that) to walk from one side of the centre to the other. There are students deals in most places and you can even get a York Trust card which gets you into museums and the art gallery for free. York, if you want something that feels like a small community, is the place to be.

Great city, full of history. There are many things to see and plenty of food and drink options. I definitely recommend Evil Eye for an eclectic range of cocktails and the House of Trembling Madness for a cosy pint. If you're a fan of cats, try the York Lucky Cat trail (pick up a leaflet in the Shambles) - it's a great way to explore the city if you're only there for a day!
