Brilliant town for all those that live to eat - an exciting variety of known high-street restaurants, independent cafes and weekly ethnic market stall cuisine. Two shopping centres contain student loved brands, so be ready to claim on your discount! Various bars and pubs make for a long and messy pub crawl. Alternatively, these pubs offer wood fires and quirky cask ales for a quiet pint over a book or a 3000 word essay. For the more traditional party goer Uxbridge has one multi-room nightclub, but if that doesn't hit the spot the town has 2 speedy lines to central London which hosts an array events and clubs. Other routes to central and around the hillingdon area involves the reliable bus service; though if your like me Uber is a quicker alternative that is available in the entire area of London. Uxbridge has a modern cinema complex, pool/snooker bar and scenic canal for evening walks - perfect for making new friends or loves.

Town that has good access to transport to go into central London or outskirts of London. Near Heathrow airport so easy to travel to other countries. Has a university, plenty of schools and college. Lots of things to do from restaurants, bars, club, cinema and gyms, parks. Can't get bored

Big Intu with cinema and shops but lackijg in places for nights out. Good value for money and town centre is very clean and tidy with lots to do and many jpbs avaliable especially through recruitment agencies. University is close to high street with easy access and bus service if needed

Brunel University London is 15 minutes away from Uxbridge. It's very practical as you can simply walk to the station, or you also have more than 6 buses taking you there. In Uxbridge you have two shopping malls where you can find most things you want, but sometimes not everything. It still great that you have the Piccadilly and Metropolitan line, so you can be in central in less than an hour. Being that distance away also makes everything cheaper, from food, drinks, parties and housing. And it's also good as being a student you have not as many distractions as if you were in a university in central. It's a great place.

Uxbridge is great when it comes to transport. It has a tube station with two tube lines into Central London. Brunel University is also along several bus routes so it is easy to get to places and is also a £5 taxi or short bus to West Drayton as a main train station with links towards the Reading Direction. For nights out its isn't amazing but there is enough here to have a good night especially when it comes to bar crawling. There is one club which is average but great for first years especially for those who aren't comfortable travelling far. To improve the nightlife you just have to get on a tube and go further into central and you'll have a great night. Always good to get an uber back which usually works out £10-£15 between 4 people but there is still the night bus if not which gets you back to uxbridge if it's late. Shoppingwise it's good for high-street stores and has an intu centre as well as the Pavillions shopping centre. It doesn't have many high end shops but then there is a bus Direct to Westfield in Shepherd's Bush or the tube to Wembley or further into central. If you want to have direct links to London but still be in areas of greenery and out of the hustle and bustle of central London, as well as getting a larger loan from being inside the M25, this is the place for you!

Location at Brunel is perfect. Only a 10 minute walk or 5 mintue bus journey from uxbridge town, which has an intu shopping centre and tube station (Piccadilly and metropolitan). From there you can get into central London within the hour.

Brunel University is located 15 minutes away from Uxbridge centre. It's great you can walk there, although many people decide to take the bus (which doesn't make much sense). You have many places for eating out and Intu Uxbridge, which is great for doing some shopping. Nevertheless, if you are looking for some product in particular it's always better to go shopping to central. Regarding nightlife, there's Liquid Nightclub in Uxbridge, which almost always has free tickets before 11 during the weekend, but it's not great. The best thing about Brunel is that most things you can find them on campus. There's a nightclub, a pub, a few fast food restaurants, Costa, and even a supermarket. And in case you want to go to central you're just 15 minutes away from the underground station.

Uxbridge is a nice area that has two shopping centres to your benefit. It also has a range of restaurants that give student discounts and also if you’re from a Caribbean or African background there is one shop that sells products in that area as well. One slight issue is things may be slightly more expensive which I have noticed however there is a Lidl right next to Brunel to get affordable shopping done.

There is a lot to do in the city, and it's just 40 minutes away from central London. If you want to have a good time there is always something to do.
