Brilliant town for all those that live to eat - an exciting variety of known high-street restaurants, independent cafes and weekly ethnic market stall cuisine. Two shopping centres contain student loved brands, so be ready to claim on your discount! Various bars and pubs make for a long and messy pub crawl. Alternatively, these pubs offer wood fires and quirky cask ales for a quiet pint over a book or a 3000 word essay. For the more traditional party goer Uxbridge has one multi-room nightclub, but if that doesn't hit the spot the town has 2 speedy lines to central London which hosts an array events and clubs. Other routes to central and around the hillingdon area involves the reliable bus service; though if your like me Uber is a quicker alternative that is available in the entire area of London. Uxbridge has a modern cinema complex, pool/snooker bar and scenic canal for evening walks - perfect for making new friends or loves.

A great town centre for shopping and socialising. There's a nice selection of pubs and restaurants and great transport connections in to central london.

Town that has good access to transport to go into central London or outskirts of London. Near Heathrow airport so easy to travel to other countries. Has a university, plenty of schools and college. Lots of things to do from restaurants, bars, club, cinema and gyms, parks. Can't get bored

Big Intu with cinema and shops but lackijg in places for nights out. Good value for money and town centre is very clean and tidy with lots to do and many jpbs avaliable especially through recruitment agencies. University is close to high street with easy access and bus service if needed

I chose my university because its a lovely rich area which easy access into town centre as well as shisha lounges. Not only that, it has amazing library with 24 hour access alongside a lovely cafe with also costcutter. Santander bank, and student union.

Uxbridge is justfine. It is a mid sized town with a decent high street, a couple of grocery stores, a mall, and relatively well connected by bus and one tube station. If you like nightlife it isn’t great as there is one club that is just eh not including the brunel campus ones. Not too expensive, not exactly cheap. It is distinctly average but all in all not a bad place to live.

Location for Brunel University is good, simply for the reason it is on the edge of London and so the city lifestyle is accessible. However Uxbridge itself is a little tired, shopping and dining options limited and the overall appearance is as you’d expect for a London overfill town designed to house the masses. Nightlife, I’ve rated 3, simply because student nights are usually pretty fun. If I wasn’t a student I’d have put a 1.

Brunel University London is 15 minutes away from Uxbridge. It's very practical as you can simply walk to the station, or you also have more than 6 buses taking you there. In Uxbridge you have two shopping malls where you can find most things you want, but sometimes not everything. It still great that you have the Piccadilly and Metropolitan line, so you can be in central in less than an hour. Being that distance away also makes everything cheaper, from food, drinks, parties and housing. And it's also good as being a student you have not as many distractions as if you were in a university in central. It's a great place.

As Brunel is in the centre of Uxbridge, it is a 15 minute walk to the town centre with 2 shopping centres. A quick walk to the sports park to play activities such as football, javelin, hockey and tennis even! A 15 minute walk to the hospital. London Underground available from uxbridge station with the metropolitan and Piccadilly line running until 12:30 midnight. Plenty of busses running to and from the university with multiple entrances to the lecture centre, library and halls.

Uxbridge is great when it comes to transport. It has a tube station with two tube lines into Central London. Brunel University is also along several bus routes so it is easy to get to places and is also a £5 taxi or short bus to West Drayton as a main train station with links towards the Reading Direction. For nights out its isn't amazing but there is enough here to have a good night especially when it comes to bar crawling. There is one club which is average but great for first years especially for those who aren't comfortable travelling far. To improve the nightlife you just have to get on a tube and go further into central and you'll have a great night. Always good to get an uber back which usually works out £10-£15 between 4 people but there is still the night bus if not which gets you back to uxbridge if it's late. Shoppingwise it's good for high-street stores and has an intu centre as well as the Pavillions shopping centre. It doesn't have many high end shops but then there is a bus Direct to Westfield in Shepherd's Bush or the tube to Wembley or further into central. If you want to have direct links to London but still be in areas of greenery and out of the hustle and bustle of central London, as well as getting a larger loan from being inside the M25, this is the place for you!

Uxbridge intu is an excellent place to go shopping and hang out with friends. Does have a high crime rate but other than that I would say it is a good area.

The location of brunel seems appealing to the untrained eye. Handy for someone who settles for the night life of Uxbridge (most sports teams), absolutely appalling for any genuine music/ club fans wanting to get back after a night out. Takes 3 hours generally, doesn’t help with all them narcotics tho hee hee

In terms of nights out you only have a selection of two clubs which are liquid and academy. Most of the time you can only get in if you’re a student so if you don’t have student ID don’t bother. The music they play is quite current but it’s seems like the DJ plays from the same playlist and doesn’t switch it up. If you want to go out to eat you have much of a selection apart from Nando’s and Wagamama. In terms of shopping, all shops close early and they’re the smaller versions of your ordinary shops. Apart from there’s not much to do in Uxbridge and everything just seems expensive.

Good range of shops. One club and then good links to central with the tube. Uxbridge is a nice town with a variety of shops and good restaurants. The Intu is good as it has a variety of decent shops, the same with the chimes.

Location at Brunel is perfect. Only a 10 minute walk or 5 mintue bus journey from uxbridge town, which has an intu shopping centre and tube station (Piccadilly and metropolitan). From there you can get into central London within the hour.

The nightlife is not great, there is only one club in the town and very few bars. The club itself is not much to shout about. The shopping is quite good, with many options. However, they are fairly generic stores. There are good options for food shopping at a variety of price ranges, with generally good stock. There is good choices of places to eat but they are mostly chains. It would be nice for more independent restaurants in the centre of the town. There is however, very little things to do, especially for students. It tends to mean that we have to travel to other areas of London for things to do. There are some nice green areas in the town but they are pretty hidden and not well known.

Brunel University is located 15 minutes away from Uxbridge centre. It's great you can walk there, although many people decide to take the bus (which doesn't make much sense). You have many places for eating out and Intu Uxbridge, which is great for doing some shopping. Nevertheless, if you are looking for some product in particular it's always better to go shopping to central. Regarding nightlife, there's Liquid Nightclub in Uxbridge, which almost always has free tickets before 11 during the weekend, but it's not great. The best thing about Brunel is that most things you can find them on campus. There's a nightclub, a pub, a few fast food restaurants, Costa, and even a supermarket. And in case you want to go to central you're just 15 minutes away from the underground station.

North west london. An hour tube ride into central. Uxbridge is fairly average, standard town shops and resturants. 20 minute walk from uni to centre of town. Only social night is wednesday at liquid that mainly the sports teams. Ocassionally the union runs 'mega global on a friday. As liquid has no competiton its expensive.

My university is in a very ideal location! It is not far from the motorway and it’s also only a tube ride away from the hustle and bustle without being to close to it. If you want it to be quiet it can be quiet if you wanna have a loud and crazy night out, that can be done too. The location of my university is just super ideal.

There is only one night club so the night life is pretty poor. There are shops that are easy to get to. Bus travel is easily available. The area of Uxbridge is very quiet. There is not much to do other than a cinema which is very expensive,

Although supposedly a London university the travel into central takes like an hour. Only 1 nightclub in town, not that great. Lidl nearby which is really cheap. There is a fairly good shopping centre but could be improved if KFC could deliver their chicken.

Uxbridge is a nice area that has two shopping centres to your benefit. It also has a range of restaurants that give student discounts and also if you’re from a Caribbean or African background there is one shop that sells products in that area as well. One slight issue is things may be slightly more expensive which I have noticed however there is a Lidl right next to Brunel to get affordable shopping done.
