Overall Swansea is a complete place to live. It boasts a great nightlife, shops, transport connects all paired with a close university experience. Because it is on the small side the prices for everything are a lot cheaper, something to consider as a student, and the city wide community feels closer. Student living can come as a concern but with some local agencies paired with the university services, you're bound to get a clean and safe place to live.

Nights out are great with plenty of options of clubs mostly down the same street and pubs for pres! The buses and taxis make it easy to get from homes to town. There are also many options for popular shops and supermarkets such as Lidl, Sainsbury’s and Tesco. There are also some cinemas vue and odeon! A beach and habour aren’t far away from town either.

So close to the beach and the gower is nearby and is incredible. Has most necessary amenities nearby without being a huge city. Lots of green spaces. Town centre is the only downside but is being upgraded over the next few years. Night life is great, something for everyone. Would be better if bigger artists came to play gigs.

Swansea offers both the benefits of a city, with the perks of being in close proximity to the beach.

There are two campuses. One of them is surrounded by Singleton park, Singleton Campus, and the other one is on the bay of the sea, Bay Campus. Walking through the park or near the sea and feeling the fresh air hit your face is truly a wonderful experience. Need a break? Take a walk about that place. On each campus, there is a mini store along with fresh hot food caterining. The catering, in my opinion, is a little overprice. Although, the price at the mini stores are average. Also, there is a student bar on each campus for a quick coffee or drink. Both campus are easily accessible by the buses which run 24/7. There are many different restaurants and cusine to explore: Italian, Indian, Mediterranean, Welsh, Asian, Portuguese, American and a lot more. I wouldn't recommend eating out much as it can be quite costly. It's less expensive to buy ingredients from a hypermarket and cook.

The uni is right next to one of the most beautiful beaches in the country which is such a unique and amazing thing to have. The night life if also great but what stops it being 5 stars is that the town center isn't that great in terms of shops

The distance of the new campus from the centre of town is quite far but the bus service somewhat makes up for it by running regularly and 24/7. Being so far out of town there isn't anything within walking distance and a lack of student housing nearby. The only shop on the campus is a small Tesco express which means you have to shop more often for a smaller variety of items or get a bus into the centre of town. Swansea itself is a nice enough town with an active and affordable night life.

Swansea University and Swansea itself is a pretty solid place! The all night buses that run around Swansea give students the best chance of getting out and around the town seeing the different things that it has to offer. Nights out in Swansea have practically written themselves into legend. Chances are everyone has a story they can tell about Wind Street and the events that take place but all in all, no one can deny that they’ve had many a good night out in Wond Street.

Lack of nearby shopping development but useful public transport network with lots of choice in terms of places to eat, drink and dance at excellent value

Out standing shops and friendely staffs. God choices to eat. Can get really full at times but great on Christmas. There’s lots of opportunity to work part time there and it’s a good place to socialise and go on a night out. Lots of choices for bars and pubs. Variety of food cuisine.

I’m the sun swansea can’t be beat with world renown’s beaches. The new bay campus now sits on the beach, which means you can relax and have drinks on the beach between lectures.
