Swansea is an ideal university town. Beautiful location on the coast with plenty of pretty countryside and beaches to explore in the summer on the gower. Excellent value for money in terms of eating out and night life. The nightlife itself is centred around Wind Street and is the perfect night out for students with a variety of bars and clubs. Shopping, whilst limited, is avaliable on the highstreet too with most shops offering student discounts if you ask. Would be pick to ask for much more of Swansea as a university location.

Lots of places to eat at and order food. Decent amount of pubs and clubs however, the real gem is the wonderful untouched coastline in the Mumbles area. Lovely to swim in,jump off cliffs etc....

Swansea university is in a great location, especially the bay campus which literally next to the beach. The town isn't too small but you can get anything you're looking for. Friendly people all around. Weather isn't great but when it is it's amazing.

Swansea is a city and county on the south coast of Wales. The National Waterfront Museum, in a renovated warehouse with a slate-and-glass extension, features coal-industry artefacts. Swansea Museum’s collection includes maritime paintings, plus boats in Swansea Marina. The Dylan Thomas Centre commemorates the 20th-century writer with hands-on displays. Swansea Market offers local produce.

Swansea can be rainy and dreary at times but in the summer it comes alive with the beach just by the university campuses. The city is great value for money with many cost saving shops. The main attraction for me was the beach.

Swansea has a lot to offer. Being the gateway to Gower and its beautiful beaches, it’s a really nice place to be. The locals are friendly and there’s loads of pubs and clubs to go to.

Swansea is a cheap city to live in which is great for students. The nightlife is fantastic with all the clubs on one street. The beach stretches along the whole city and both uni campuses and the majority of student houses are a maximum of 10 minutes away from the beach. The engineering campus is outside the city centre but the fantastic views from the beach of the Mumbles more than make up for it. Swansea is about an hour away from Cardiff, making it quite a long journey wherever you are going however, the surrounding beauty in the Gower and Brecon Beacons means there is plenty to do whilst you are at uni.

I thoroughly enjoy living in Swansea I think it is a great place to live. My favourite part is living by the beach especially as it’s nearing summer, and you can walk there from singleton campus. The night life is also good, wind st on a Wednesday is very lively and always a good night

Would highly recommend Swansea. However, there are some teething issues with Shopping and places to eat. . As . That aside, loved going to university here and met some fantastic people. It's a small city which makes it easy to get around, with loads of beaches close by to hang out with your friends.

The buses are decent even though we didn't live on campus last year either. The clubs are really good but fiction has a monopoly pretty much so there's not many choices.

Choosing to come to Swansea was a hard decision as I’m from Oxford however, it was the best one. I adore the location and the campus is located extremely close to the beach front and marina. Both which are perfect when trying to distress and enjoy some lovely views!

Great university, with an even better nightlife. Recommend Swansea as a place to study. Brand new campus too.

Nice to be next to the beach, lovely on a sunny day. Great shopping in city centre and close rail and motorway links which is very helpful for traveling back home and to friends.

On the beach, bit'a sunshine and its nothing but weng. Same for bay campus! Both are relatively close to the town centre so food shopping ain't a great hassle

Small city but packed with students which makes it enjoyable. Great nights out and everything needed around. Good transport links with the rest of the UK and only an hour from Cardiff which is great if you want to get away to a bigger city for the day. Good variety of food from both restaurants and take out venues. Cheap city to live in as a student, and things to do all year round. Lovely location in the summer to visit the beaches around. Public transport could be cheaper, especially for students.

The campus is 20 minutes walk away from city centre, there are regular buses to and from also. However there are plenty of restaurants, shops and things to do around campus and even on campus! Cheap place to live (rent wise) and as it’s right on the beach, there’s always nice views and perfect in the summer!

The city centre could use a bit of refurbishment but the beaches, the pier, the coastal path are absolutely magnificent! Pretty cheap city to live in too!

Nights out in Swansea are my favourite nights out ever! Shopping and eating out could be a lot better though

Though transport is not Swansea's charm (increased prices, unregular buses, incorrect information), it has other positive points making up for that. It's scenery is amazing (the beach, definitely worth a whole day). I had my best night out here in Fiction and some food drinks and deserts in Spoons. The food is delicious and diverse (Uplands Diner, Joe's ice-cream, etc.). A good amount of shops, pleasing anyone (especially those who enjoy vintage clothing). Offers a wide range of entertainment, from cinema to concerts, to plays and lasergame. And the best of it all: Swansea is one of the cheapest places in the UK (approved by many of my UK friends)! So come and enjoy Swansea and it's charms as we have been!

Bay campus has a good view of the beach and is meters away from it making for nice walks and scenery. However it is quite far from the city centre so travelling can take a while.

Lots of places for nights out. Variety of places to eat, lots of different cultures so more variety. Not much to do besides lazerzone, the cinema, tenpin bowling, eating and nights out. Most places have value for money. Transportation is awful.

Got everything a town should have. Very nice beach. Town is full of shops and good places to eat. Busses are a bit expensive, but the taxis are fast and alot cheaper if in a group.
