Hendrefoelan Student Village

Cleaners come regularly, if there's a problem, it's normally sorted quickly. However, My friends flat had a water leak that completely ruined the flooring and his room and wasn't compensated for damage

The living conditions is poor compared to bay campus however I feel you are getting an actual student experience with it and the social life is a lot better. Though is very far from bay campus and you have to get a bus everywhere

Location is fine because we got a free bus pass this year. Had there been no bus pass it would have been frustrating as it’s quite far from the actual University. You get what you pay for really. I don’t regret choosing it. It’s very cheap and you get a decent sized kitchen, decent sized bed and room and an alright bathroom. They’re not looked after to the best standard, but the reception staff are very helpful and friendly.

Was a 30 min walk from campus but good bus services. Cheapest accommodation and had lots of students. Good size facilities for amount of students and decent size room.

The location is a bit out of the way for everything which isn't the best, but this year we get a free bus pass which is essential. The rooms are okay, but the kitchens vary drastically depending on the size of flat. The social aspect is good and you meet many people who are all welcoming.

HSV is located 15 minutes from singleton campus and an hour from the bay campus by bus. This is very inconvenient for those studying at The bay, however I do not fall into this category. The room is of a more than adequate size considering the very reasonable rent, as is the shared kitchen and bathrooms. Being as it is the cheapest residence available there is definitely a sense of social freedom and people are not afraid to let their hair down. This is the most attractive feature of HSV.

Hendrefoelan student village has to be the BEST student halls to live. It really is just like a lovely little village where the best parties happen and not to mention it is brilliantly cheap to stay there! Would do it all again in a heartbeat as HSV is the essence of student life.

Old, run down but you’re guaranteed to have a great time living here. It’s a community of 2000 students and you get to go ‘home’ away from uni campus without missing out on the fun!
