As me and all my other students say on Bay Campus, it’s an amazing place with brand new state of the art accommodation, shopping facilities and nightlife however it’s so far away from anything of interest unless you take the bus which still often takes a long time and a lot of organisation.

Premium has a good size room, ensuite bathroom makes it preferable, does lack surface area in the kitchen and cupboard space in the kitchen and bedroom. Nice shelves above desk, leather chair in room is comfy, the plastic one not so much, big desk with three draws, plenty of room to work. Plenty of plugs for all appliances, with USB ones to make charging your phones easier. Lighting can be too bright and stops you from feeling tired. Good amount of storage space under bed, though it is hard to access as it requires lifting up the mattress so not good for items that need to be accessed frequently. Convenient light switches by bed and by door, don't have to walk through a pitch black room. Location is convenient as it's only 5 min walk away from lecture buildings and the beach, but a half an hour bus journey from any shops apart from a small Tesco express. 2 large common areas between 12 buildings, some buildings having 8 floors with 3 flats per floor, with 8-12 people per flat. Nothing happens on site, most of the society's run over on the other campus meaning a 40 min bus journey.
Myself and my flat mates get along pretty well despite all being from completely different walks of life. We all bicker sometimes but it's a learning experience. The sense of independence is also nice.
New modern feel. Cannot fault the facilities. All brand new. Campus is aside from Swansea which can be an inconvenience but worth it for facilities.
Whilst the actual facilities on Bay Campus are outstanding, the location doesn’t allow for socialising as easily as Singleton or the student village. However the rooms themselves are so good that it justifies the extra rent.
Nice new Accomodation, bedrooms and kitchen good size. Good bus service to town and other campus and nice location. Overpriced though
The buildings are too far from any shops and you have to pay for a bus pass even though you could have your lectures in Singleton. Yet people living in hsv get a free bus pass.
Very out of the way, little to do on and around campus. Nice size rooms & en suite. Not enough cupboards / chairs in kitten for everyone.
Close walking distance from university, far from town but regular buses, unfortunately bus pass not free, only 1 shop can be packed during lunch need another shop, not very social only 2 bars which no one goes to
Very nice beach front location. Tesco on site which is always useful and a short walk to on-site lectures or a short bus journey to town or the main campus.
Really nice and new, good to have three quarter beds because a lot of unis only have single and it’s a lot nice to have these beds
The accommodation is really nice, loads of people in small area aswell so great for meeting people, only problém is it is a bit pricey.
The Bay campus library is far too small with not enough computers and the uni management refuse to do anything about it. Singleton looks like a filthy, run down council estate. Library staff are rude and unhelpful. Many lecture theaters do not even have proper whiteboards and the projectors frequently malfunction. The on site tesco is too small and always runs out of food at lunch time. All other campus food options are horribly overpriced.
The actual campus is not in Swansea but just outside the city. It's clean, new and modern but it's lacking in substance i.e the student community in comparison to Singleton. The rooms are clean and well lit. A bit expensive. The WiFi can certainly be improved on as there is no connection in the kitchen only in the bedrooms.
The location is quite far from the town as it’s about 15 minutes drive. Though a few minutes walk to lectures and the beach makes this tolerable. The facilities are pristine and well equipped at all acomodation. With plenty of space in the kitchens and rooms. Due to the fact that most of the flats are large it is easy to make friends. The social experience could be improved though by having a club but there is a bar and restaurant on the campus. The standard room has a 3/4 bed, desk, chair, desk table and a ensuite bathroom. This has been a splendid size! Most impressed
Really nice as all new and good access to all floors with lifts and stairs. Bedroom nice with good en suite with good shower. Nice having 3/4 bed rather than a single although it’s hard to find 3/4 sheets.
If you're studying on bay campus these halls are perfect as you can roll right out of bed and in to lectures if you're studying on singleton would not recommend as it's a very long bus journey. only big downside is it's very far from town so a bus pass is almost a must which is quite a hefty cost
The accommodation is lovely, large kitchens and large bedrooms with lots of space and facilities. All the buildings look modern, clean and nice. Overall the campus is very nice and it has everything you need as well as a beach on campus which is perfect for socialising and exercising!
Very nice halls with double bed and en site toilet, being only a 2 minute walk away from the beach was a very nice addition. Tesco and Santander on site are very useful for getting alcohol and fags. Sports facilities on site are very modern and easy to organise to use. Lots of places to park that are also safe. Reception and on-site staff are very helpful and able to help you with any problems you might have
Location is very near to my lecture halls, as an engineering student, and also only 15-20mins from town. It could be a bit closer to Singleton for sport, but otherwise excellent both practically and aesthetically, with it being right on the beach front.
The bay campus halls are gorgeous and ever-growing. Although studying on singleton park campus - the buses between the two are great. The facilities are great as the halls are so new- so the rooms and en suits are very good. The washing facilities are also pretty good as all od the equipment is very new.The small supermarket on campus is massively handy also.
Location: Locations is far from city centre (requires a bus journey). With food shopping facilities low and expensive, the only really option is to do Tesco delivery or go into town via a bus, which is a hassle. Bringing a car also isn’t an option as parking is expensive for the day. Often extremely windy which makes it difficult to walk around. Social experience: Due to being unfinished, social activities are low and it’s difficult to meet friends outside of the course and flat. Social areas: Common rooms with limited facilities, not enough for the size of the campus. Your room: Decent rooms, modern, with an en suite. Kitchen facilities are shared and an average size. Value for money: Rent is expensive and increasing. Taking into consideration the campus as a whole, it’s not a good value for money. But if you study business or engineering you have to live there. Internet/wifi: Shocking at times and half decent and other times. Inconsistent in the accommodation but better in the lecture rooms.
I loved how there were lots of halls to choose from. It gave me lots of easy options to choose my ideal room.
