A lot of nice food places, night life is good. Clubs are a lot of fun but very packed. Quite a few places to go for entertainment and a lot of events going on.

Not much to do in the city activity wise, Hanley isn't bad for shopping, and the prices aren't extortionate as a whole. However it is fairly close to bigger cities like Manchester or Birmingham so access to them isn't bad.

The city has its issues and isn’t that scenic, but sticking to areas on campus and surrounding isn’t too terrible. I feel safe, And there’s popular chain restaurants available.

The Potteries is best for shopping and eating, particularly Bon Pan Asian and Coast to Coast. Hanley is okay for a night out and has everything from a Wetherspoons to a casino.

Very quiet city, not much to do and the night life isn't that great either. Shopping is the mot decent thing but even then shopping isn't fabulous. In terms of travel it's quite expensive.

The majority of Stoke is really nice; as it's home to 2 universities there's always plenty to do plus loads of student discounts. The Potteries shopping centre has everything you could need, and it's always handy having a 24 hour Tescos. I love how McDonald's delivers here too. If you go out at the weekend then you can have a good time, although drinks are pretty expensive. However, all the clubs are dead if you go out on a weekday. The only real downside is it doesnt feel very safe. There's a lot of crime and shady people walking around the area. Definitely wouldn't recommend going out alone at night.

There are only a couple of clubs so the nightlife isn't great. You can find most of the stores you want in Hanley but it's difficult if you live in Newcastle. The cinema is nice. All the seats are recliners. Bus tickets are way too expensive. It's not really a city I'd choose to live in after uni.

Only 2 good nights to go out a week and even then not very good. Literally one good club and nothing even starts until after 11pm which is ridiculous as someone coming from Leeds. Good value for money as it is fairly cheap to get around as everything is close. There isn’t much to eat on campus that isn’t the horrible uni food or takeaway so it is hard to be healthy, the Only healthy option really is a subway and it gets tired after a while but if you make your own food/ live on campus it’s ok. The shopping is getting better as new shops are surfacing all the time and I genuinely think Hanley is developing into a decent place to shop.

Keele university is located in the country side and so is very hard to go shopping, and find places to eat out, even though the busses are regular they take the lpngest route to the town centre. However, there are good events that take plave at uni which helps with nightlife entertainment.

The location isn't too bad as the uni campus is one of the main reasons why I stay in Staffordshire but the city has a bit of a slum feel. Many supermarkets like Sainsbury's, Lidl and Iceland. But so much traffic. Most people tend to leave here for nights out and other entertainment.

Nights out are a hit or miss for a good time, if it’s busy with an event on its good, student night is good but otherwise it’s not exactly the best. There is nothing really to do in stoke on Trent unless you have care, if you don’t be prepared to walk or not go anywhere. Shopping is surprisingly good we have an intu potteries with lots of shops including the popular ones like river island, topshop, new look etc... Food in Stoke is average there are a lot of restaurants around but again unless you can drive to some of them as there are out of the way. Intu potteries has a good court which is close for everyone which includes Nando’s, coast to coast and 4 other restaurants.

The night life is alright the uni is alright and the food and plaes to eat is alright. Just the town that is an absolute utter sh*t hole. Never come to Shelton but Fenton is okay.

The town is a little lackluster with few places to visit on a night out. The usual is Boston Brothers then to Fiction, but if you go on the wrong nights be ready for an empty club. The town offers a few good restaurants near the cinema, but not much variety other than your generic pizza places or nandos. Shopping wise, there's a good variety of shops in Potteries. Can't knock them. Still do most of my shopping online

it’s only a bus journey to the city centre where you’ll find aldi, Lidl, Morrison’s and a Sainsbury’s. There’s also many other shops and a mall with different food locations, a bus cinema (amazing prices) and bowling. This is all 10-15 minutes away from Keele campus. Hanley shopping centre is absolutely amazing (45-50 minutes on bus) is has everything you need and it’s really big. Only thing about location is you could walk to Newcastle city centre to go shopping but it’s a 30-40 minute walk depending on how slow or fast you are. Not that ideal but otherwise it la very good

Shopping in the area is good with Hanley having the intu centre which has an array of stores. However the main downside is the nightlife, there's few places to go and even then these are expensive. Not much to do in the area without having a car.

Quite a run down city with no centre. Takes a while to get from keele uni to the train station. Although having no city centre it is split up into multiple towns. Hanley having the best night life.

Nights out are okay in Hanley however mainly go to the student union. Shopping and food is quite close but nothing on the door step. Shelton where most student lives isn’t the best either
