St Andrews

The town itself is beautiful and it's really nice being by the sea. There are great cafés and restaurants but as far as a night out goes St. andrews doesn't really do the job - unless you like hanging out at bars.

St Andrews is an absolutely stunning place. You will never be more than 10 minutes walk from a fabulous beach and you will always be surrounded by beautiful and historic buildings. There is a good range of supermarkets ranging from M&S to Aldi and a good few clothes shops. There are loads of cafes, bars and pubs so you will never be short of places to go!

St. Andrews is an incredibly small but quaint historical town in the north east Neuk of Fife. There’s plenty of shops to offer clothes shopping as well as many fine quality eateries. The major downside of St Andrews is the size however. Due to St. Andrews being classically three streets there’s a particular lack of affordable student housing which every January creates a struggle of finding a property for you and your friends; a struggle that may not exist at larger urban universities. Adjacent to three beautiful beaches and the world’s first golf course; the beauty is hard to beat.

Quite a small town and so you bump into everyone you know. Nights out can be sometimes good, food, however is great.

Nights out are fairly quiet, no big nightclubs only student union but is fun with your friends. Location is fairly remote so be prepared for long journeys.

Nearest station is leuchars which is 5 miles out of town but there is frequent buses running there. Many bars and the student union. Quite expensive town to live in. Many nice restaurants and coffee shops.

Tiny town but lovely... Not much to do but a cinema and a couple of chic and fancy bars that should be far out of the ordinary students budget. Fortunately, the ordinary St Andrews student is not "ordinary".

Small town with no real clubs and quite expensive generally, but very pretty and great teaching and close knit student community. Sports centre is already very good but undergoing further development still so should be excellent soon.

Although a beautiful place to live, St Andrews is very much a bubble with very little in the way of nightlife and shopping.

It's a great place with many things to do during a night out and great food! The only problems are the fact that the hospital doesn't have emergencies and that accommodation is quite expensive...
