St Andrews

Heaven forbid if you are man in St Andrews because there's no affordable men's shops to buy clothes from and the H&M only accommodates for stick thin, 6ft 2 boys. St Andrews has plenty of cafes but not enough of everything else. You can't buy underwear in St Andrews, or McDonald's. You can't buy an affordable cinema ticket in a decent sized cinema. You can't buy anything electronic. Dundee is actually quite a way a way, especially if you have to get on the bus. So, essentially it's only good for those tourists wanting tea and cake in one of the many cafes.

Although St Andrews is a beautiful town with a fantastic academic setting and scenery, nights out and eating out are particularly limited. There is a limited choice of bars and clubs, the food places tend to cater more for golfers rather than students. The transport situation is not particularly ideal. There are many buses to dundee but the buses to Glasgow and Edinburgh are very slow.
