St salvators hall, aka sallies, is THE place to stay if you are living in halls. As a humanities students, all my lectures are a 2-5 minute walking distance. Sallies is very much in town, located in one of the three main streets of st andrews. It is close to both west sands and east sands, shops, the school quad and the library etc. In sallies, my room was bigger than averaged, lots of storage space and has a great view of the sea. It overviews the most expensive street in scotland, the Scores. There is a discussion room and a little library where students could go for their studies, a printer is provided if you’d like to print off something. There is a lawn in front of the building. A magestic common room, where there is a grand piano and lots of couches and tables to hang out with friends. The dining room reminds me of hogwarts with its glass stained windows and tables. In my opinion, meal times are the times alwhere you could socialize mostly with your friends. The wardens and committee always hosts events for us like cheese and wine tasting, pizza night, sometimes even hosting pub quizes too, for us to enjoy our stay here and help us mingle. Overall my stay in sallies was a 10/10. I have met all my friends there and i couldnt be happier. I’m sad that It had to end.
