Lived here all my life and i'm always finding something new to do, nightlife is a bit boring, would prefer to be somewhere else for that. Food places are great.

A beautiful city, full with life. You can find museums, monuments, nice restaurants to eat and places where you can enjoy a drink or two. Moreover, you can enjoy your evenings by walking in the green clean parks or near the coast.

Excellent town for shopping, West Quay in town center or other shopping places around the outskirts. Shops such as Primark, Topshop, Boots, Superdrug, Pandora, Urban Outfitters. Fantastic range and loren of places to eat. Also right on the sea front so lots of Cruise Ships docked and good hotels in the area such as Grand Harbour hotel, Premier Inn, Holiday Inn.

Southampton is an amazing place to come for studies, to chill or to live even. Of course, like every place, it has its downsides but once you get used to living here, it's one of the best places. The night life is great, with some clubs being cheaper and better than the others. The shopping experience is quite nice, you can always chill in town if you get bored inside. There's not much stuff to do apart from walking in parks, spending the day with your friends at the bowling alley. The lifestyle can be a bit expensive if you're not working. Overall, the town is nice and amazing as long as you stay safe and responsible.

Southampton is a great place for everyone. There are 2 universities and that means loads of stuff to do. West quay and ikea are great for shopping. There is a great selection of nightclubs including the infamous jesters. The hobbit is well worth a visit for a tasty pint

Really nice sunny city with two universities hence very student friendly. There's plenty of nightlife - grimey clubs like Jesters to nicer ones like Oceana. Also shisha bars, so many restaurants and a new arcade which is fun. Nice area too - has the docks which are nice to stroll down and a fancy area called Ocean Village by the marina full of cafes, restaurants, bars etc. Good transport system to get around the city, has its own university bus service to take you around halls, campus, town, hospital, airport and train stations. Close to Bournemouth for the beach and Winchester for Christmas markets. Easy to get to the new forest which is a really lovely place to explore!

Love it. Nice vibe. Heartbreakers is cool and so is the edge. Turtle bay has 2 4 1 cocktails at certain times most days. Lists of student stuff going on always

Southampton has a surprising amount of things to do, and is great for students. There are lots of nightclubs that have discounted days throughout the week, as well as a large house party scene. West Quay and watermark are great, all the shopping and dining you'll need with enough variety to stop you getting bored!

Southampton is a city of many things. It's a place to hang out, meet up with friends. There's plenty of shopping you can do with many restaurants including pizza express, pizza hut, wagamama and more. Southampton has its own football team too, even a arena! There is a lot of places you can go without spending loads of money, the new west quay centre has many attractions including Hollywood bowling, the all new cinema de lux and much more. There is a lot of transport including trains, buses, taxi and even bike rental.

southampton is a small city with great transport links across the south coast and the rest of the city. It is buzzing with nightlife, shops and cafes for all cultural tastes. The gentrification plans show great potential. I love the parks and buzzing city vibes that remind me of my london home

Get place for shopping and eating out. Different types of shops from designer to high street. Great location, right next to the sea and good connections into London and the test of the UK.

The shopping is amazing! There is a primark, Asda, forbidden planet comic shop and even then there are some polish shops with amazing food in and it's all cheap! Then there is the fact that the city is full of music venues which means you get to check out local music as well as being on the tour route for most bigger acts.i have managed to spend so little on going out that I have been able to save money and help local acts by buying their merch and attending more shows!

Southampton is a buzzing town, specially portswood and the student area. University makes the town lively. It has lots to do. It’s definitely not as big as London but there are various places to visit in the vicinity. Unilink buses provide great transportation. Nightlife is great - with many student nights and cheap drink deals (read: jesters)

The location of the University is amazing. The university is close to the halls, and a 5 minute, straight line walk into the town, which has a big shopping center. There’s a co-op on site of the halls which is really handy and lots of clubs, as well as lively pubs. The university is also very close to the train station, making it easy for students to commute or visit home when needed. The university is very close to eating places, as soon as you step out the university, Costa and Nando’s and many others are in front of you, as well as turtle bay and KFC to the right. 5 minute walk away is the shops, which has a whole floor dedicated to restaurants and takeaways.

Lots of bars and clubs, Very big variety from cheap to posh. Everything in close proximity to university halls.

Southampton Solent University is in such a central location, everything is within a 5 minute distance (walk). Student halls are about ten minutes out, and the university itself is in the town centre. There's plenty to do and the nightlife is great.

Southampton truly is one of the best cities in the UK. We have so much to offer! Tons of parks that are perfect for sunny afternoon barbecues by the sea. Nightlife is awesome as well, we have a multitude of clubs and bars, Revolution is a really good bar, especially because of their rooftop garden. We have a massive shopping centre with a just as big restaurant/entertainment complex with so much to offer. If you’re interested in theatre, The Mayflower Theatre is an incredible landmark in the city, a theatre that houses the latest West End shows that tour the UK. Overall, the city is a sight to behold, you definitely won’t want to miss out on our beautiful city.
