The accommodation is okay but the kitchen is ill equipped and the social areas are non existent. There are 4 chairs shared between 30 people and residence life do not help when you email them.

Living in Carrysbrook was a great experience when I was in my first year of university. The building itself encourages all members to socialise, with its long corridors and shared kitchens. The en suite bedrooms are well equipped and furnished, however one criticism I have is that my room was slightly too small, and I struggled for space at times. The kitchen was also a little bit too small for more than two people to cook in at once, or simply to have a lot of people in at once. Overall I would highly recommend Carrysbrook Court, and I think that living there helped me to make the most of my first year in Sheffield

The rooms were of varying size, luckily mine was one of the larger rooms. The ensuite was nice with a separate shower and toilet rather than a wet room. The kitchen/communal area only had one fridge and it was shared by 25 people and there was an electric hob which didn't work very well. Fortunately for us we were catered for but it meant that it was very difficult for us to cook for ourselves if we wanted to.
