Rooms are spacious (as spacious as they can be) and the kitchen area is a decent size however they weren’t clean when I arrived and other areas such as the entrance can look unappealing quite often.

Room and communal areas are good. Location is close to shops, university, train station and bus stops. Accommodation team put on social events to encourage socialising. Wi-Fi rarely works.

Simplistic but with a friendly atmosphere. Good value for money, sharing with 3/4 people which is lovely. On the bus route, free gym access and great facilities.

There is nothing good to say about this experience. Unless you are a fan of pet rats and the sound of a motorway.

The rooms are small, the Wi-Fi is awful, there is no social space in most of flats. The lifts are very slow and sound dodgy. Right next to police station and main road so very loud all the time.

Perfect for nursing students as the location is right next to the Allerton building which is where all the besing lectures are held. Not the most glamourous halls, better seating in the kitchen would be ideal as the stools give you a bad back! The staff are all lovely, helpful and caring and will go way out of their way to help you if needed. They put on events (nearly) every week which is a great way to meet people and socialise, it’s perfect for first year students.

Cheap but clean. Very well situated next to the shopping centre and bus stops. Close to main campus and only 15 mins by bus to media city.

I’ve lived in John lester Court for a little under three years. Before I did, I was very skeptic all about living in a shared toilet flat with only a single bed and I was desperate to live in Peel Park Quarters. But living here has probably been the best experience of my life in university. I have made a lot of friends here and feel as though that I am friendly with a lot of the residents here. I’m even friendly with the staff that work here and I am humbled to see how much support they have shown me throughout the time I have lived here. They have helped me with financial issues, personal circumstances and have always shown the greatest of respects towards me and other residents that live here. The location also offers a free gym, so when I’m wanting a break from studying I know I can go I can spend an hour doing something productive yet stress releasing at my for step. I love living at John Lester Court and I am totally and utterly happy that I did not live in Peel Park Quarters.

The atmosphere was really nice and friendly as all the staff were very helpful and friendly, however the bedrooms and kitchen were small, the rooms weren't very modern, it is cheap which is good so I suppose that's why it isn't as nice as other halls

Small room No living room Tiny kitchen Horrible decor Good atmosphere and good security Bathroom had lots of problems

Great location next to the university, the shopping centre and the big tesco. Right next door to a police station so safety is rarely an issue. Also a fabulous view over Manchester.

The location of the halls is very good as it’s half way to university and the super markets. But the condition of my flat is very poor, sadly I live with messy flat mates and after lots of complaining to them I took it to recpetion to which they could not do anything. This flat and other flats in the building have no social aspect as it is quite literally just small bedrooms and a small kitchen with no where to actually socialise

The room itself is average. However the flat.. that is erm okay. Having to clean mould off a shower curtain and shower floor every week isn’t exactly how I thought I’d be spending my uni life. And the Kitchen. Yeah let’s not go there.

located 15 min away from salford university, and almost everything is good, except for the odd floor lift which id really really really slow.. other than that almost everything is perfect .

John Lester court is perhaps the worst place I've ever lived and I used to live in Barnsley, an area known best for having mines in the thatcher era and more recently rampant racism and mainly voting leave in the E.U referendum. At the very least there was absolutely no facade of being a decent place to live, at least my last residence didn't overtly remind me of a prison cell, i would only recommend John Lester to someone who is blind and deaf so they cant see the awful rooms or hear my lat mate playing his music at 3AM it

The accommodation is very basic. It has everything you need but nothing more. The staff are very friendly and helpful when you need it. They organise lots of social activities - hot chocolate nights during exams, guide dogs days and more.
