The townhouses are by far the best accommodation on campus. They’re the only halls with a separate living room and dining area. You also get a double bed and lots of storage. Definitely the most lively halls. Very near Park Wash, the posy collection and Park Bar. The only thing Is it can get noisy as it’s a crowded area !

Premium En-Suite, the room is nice with lots of storage space and if you have any issues they are fixed quick normally within 24 hours - week for less urgent things. Kitchen is large and as a flat with 10 you get 3 fridge/freezers whereas normally its 2, beware its Induction Hobs which require special pans and not all work even if they are Induction! Social Life depends on what you make of it, If you make good friends who are social then its great and being less than 3 minutes from Park Bar you haven't got far to go, beware wait times in Park bar can be very long on Union nights (Wed & Sat) and days where there's large sporting events as they never have enough staff to serve and can be waiting up to an hour to get a drink so get more than one on these nights or get in early. Theres eduroam wifi across all halls and campus but it is hit or miss whether it works or not but in your room and Kitchen you have free 100Mbps CableCom ethernet with 2 ports in each room

The location is perfect distance from campus, especially being less than a 2 minute walk from park bar ;) cleaned weekly, massive space, couldn't recommend more. Only thing is can be quite noisy due to park bar being so near and expensive!

The location is ideal as it is very near to the lecture hall and classroom, the room is spacious and new and it is actually better than I expected

Probably the best halls to stay in. Great environment and very close to campus and union. Would definitely say it's better than Mackinder and bridges

The location of Stenton hall could not be more ideal, situated right next to park place where there is the reception, bar, and washing machines, and just a short walk from most of the buildings around campus. The halls themselves are very well maintained, extremely spacious throughout, I love my room. There is an abundance of storage space, and a huge desk perfect for working, it's also lovely to have a small double bed, and an ensuite (which is not a wetroom). The kitchens are very well equipped, 2 cupboards and a draw for each person, 3 fridge freezers in our 10 person block, and good cooking equipment which is always replaced promptly if found to be faulty. The only negative point I have is the social side - Stenton halls are extremely quiet and antisocial, definitely don't feel that I have made many friends within the halls as most of the people here keep themselves to themselves, obviously there sometimes are exceptions, but if you are looking for a busy communal area, and to be very friendly amongst your flatmates I would suggest living elsewhere!

The townhouses are lovely and spacious, with a particularly large living room and kitchen. I loved how close it was to the main campus area, as it was only a 5 minute walk to the library.

Room decent size, would be better if there was a social space, location good as near Union and park bar.

Stenton Townhouses are a great halls to live in during not only your first, but any year at Reading University. Perfectly situated near campus building and Park Bar, the rooms provide you with lots of storage space and both a comfy and spacious bed.

Facilities were great on arrival but hot water did not regularly work for over three months and we had to fight UPP which was not a good experience. Very loud halls to live in and quiet period was not followed or enforced.

Stenton halls and townhouses are in a prime location, very close to the social areas as well as lecture halls

In the townhouses you will live with 11 others who will become your family over the next year. The townhouses are great as you get a double bed, 2 person shared bathroom (which hasn’t been an issue!), a large kitchen/lounge area including sofas, a luxury when looking at all the halls. Its located 5 minutes from the student union and park bar so the townhouses become a hub of social activity, especially on a Wednesday or Saturday night! I have loved my time living in the townhouses and i’d do it all again in a heartbeat. I personally believe they are the best halls of residence on campus, and you truly get what you’re paying for!

The location is central in terms of other accommodation available on campus. Just short walk to main campus, playing fields and sport facilities. Socially very active almost everyone goes out most nights. Room well furnished with ensuit and ample storage.

It’s clean and nice with a good location on campus. Pretty pricey but you get a double bed with an ensuite bathroom.

Incredible facility! The rooms are very spacious with great amounts of storage space, the desk space is very large too. The beds are a double which is a defo big win. There are actually a lot of sockets dotted all around the room in very convenient places so a big thumbs up for that I haven’t actually seen that being done before. The shower is an ensuite, very spacious and the actual shower area is raised so you don’t get your floor wet either. I can definitely say I had a wonderful stay at stenton although a little expensive it’s worth every single penny!

Very expensive. Double bed, en suite and self-catered. Located on campus, about 10-20 minute walk to any on site building. Very nice kitchen. No communal space. Located near park bar, which is a great place to go. Some, but not many issues. A lot of international students, so flatmates may not be that up for going out clubbing.

Good location on campus - central and close to everything you need Room size is great, and ensuite is really nice A bit pricey but facilities nice and was kept reasonably clean Only improvement we wanted was some sort of lounge area or at least a sofa in the kitchen so we have somewhere comfortable to socialize

Stenton Halls are among the nicest on Reading University campus, with high quality rooms, ideal location and great amenities close by. The price of Stenton Halls however are fairly expensive, but this may be worth it in your first year University to ease you into student life...

Loved it, amazing service. Whole process of applying and getting into the halls was pretty simple too. All this made me love the halls and would recommend it to anyone. Only one downside was the Wi-fi was a bit iffy but this never happened that often.

The Hall is located a 5 minute walk from the main part of campus and a mere minute from ParkBar and laundry area. The halls had new modern kitchens and had plenty of cupboard space. My room was large with plenty of storage and came with an ensuite bathroom that was fully functional.
