The city has a great university and gunwharf keys is an incredible part of the city. Apart from that there os very high unemployment rate and many scabby parts of the city

- there are good clubs that play a variety of music depending on the days you go, which is great as students often have different music tastes. Also if you go at the right time, drinks are relatively cheap/lots of places do happy hour every night which is great if you’re on a budget - there are plenty of shopping places (Gunwharf/Cascades/Southsea shopping centre) which vary in expense so you can go to different places depending on your budget. They are within good distance of the university and student accommodation. - the city lacks other activites that a group could take part in e.g escape room/paintballing/zoos etc. It would be nice to be able to take part in other activities that didn’t involve a night club or shopping. - there isn’t many places you can go to where you can’t spend money. Everywhere you go, you have spend money and that is hard for a student who has to be tight with money - there are lots of places to eat/lots of take always etc. A really helpful thing is ubereats as when we are busy studying etc. And you fancy some food that you couldn’t get off of a usual take away website: their delivery service is amazing and saves so much time. It needs to be available in more areas - trains are a massive problem as they are either cancelled or delayed. Which has often made me late or has made me miss things. I do tend to use coaches to get back to my hometown and having ‘the hard interchange’ is great and you can get many coaches from there. - the university bus is okay but it would be preferable to have it go to more roads and more places. As often it only sticks to more route

The University is actually pretty good so this review is probably a bit unfair, but Portsmouth is a horrible place. I had 2 bikes stolen in a year whilst fully and securely locked up, the lead on my flat's roof was stolen causing it to rain inside my flat (which was frequently surrounded by blood filled needles), and I've been chased by a homeless man with a fishing rod. Yeah. If you're into Pryzm and that sort of thing you might enjoy the night life but that's certainly not for me either, nothing really in the way of decent gigs or events either. Be kind to yourself and go somewhere else.
