Greetham Street Hall

Greetham Street is very close to lectures, to my furthest lecture it takes me only 10 minutes to walk there. In my flat there are 9 of us, we all get along which is really nice. However we have little space to hang out all together as the kitchen only has 6 bar stools. My room is great though as I have enough room to chill out and I love having a double bed. The study room is good to spend time in and is rarely full so it’s very easy to get a space in. The laundry room is good but rather expensive for 1 wash and dry it is £4.70. Overall I think greetham is a great student accommodation.

My room is a nice size with storage under the bed and in shelves above. Being on the 11th floor means i have a great view of the sea. The kitchen is alright , but lacks charism. Washing machines are expensive but I guess that's uni for you.

Really great halls. Feels very much like a hotel , but with drunk students everywhere. The staff are nice and it is so close to uni so you can never miss anything.

Overall a nice, modern place to live. However, fire alarms go off too often, and when you report something to maintenance they don’t always respond so you end up having to state the problem multiple times for them to do something about it.

I like the style of the halls , I feel like it’s a good size and because the flats are big and hold 10 people, you make lots of friends! Because the building is very new , the rooms are so nice as well as the kitchen. The halls are very pricey and maybe too pricey for what you do get but it’s really good for the location , as it is so close to central Portsmouth.

Greetham Street was brand new and so it didn’t feel like living in what people described as an average halls. The rooms were really nice, with double beds, nice view over Portsmouth and a private bathrooms. The showers were abit to get used to as they were small and the shower head didn’t move. But the luxury of having a personal bathroom at uni made the problems disappear. The kitchen was also really modern, with a large comfy corner sofa and a kitchen if enough for each flat. Another good thing about the kitchen was the numerous amounts of cupboards it had, we even had spare ones filled with random thing. Overalls halls were really good accommodation for first year.

It is nice and new but everything seemed to break in our kitchen, built fast but not to a high standard. Fobs play up and bedrooms are tiny but with a bigger bed.

The location is optimal, very close to both most university buildings as well as bars and clubs for a convenient nightlife. The room is a bit small for the price however the furniture is modern and comfortable. The staff at reception are always friendly and ready to help with any problems. The one notable problem with greetham street is the occasional elevator problems which can be very inconvenient. The common room on the 19th floor has great views and nice facilities. The machines in the laundry room have had issues and the app can be improved to give more accurate updates of when the washing/drying has been completed

Our housemates have become a little bit weird and some staff aren’t being helpful in resolving some issues

Way overpriced for a small en-suite room. Very limited storage, with inconvenient shelves and a wardrobe that doesn't function properly as a wardrobe. Washing facilities also often don't work.

Right in the centre of both university and the high street. Friendly staff always around. Rooms and kitchens are to a very high standard. Have lots of people in my halls. Excellent facilities, for example the common room is amazing with beautiful views and facilities inside. However to do clothes washing is expensive, and the app is not always reliable when both washing and drying clothes. On occasions such as Chinese New Year, pancake day, Halloween, Christmas the reception is always nicely decorated, providing a lovely atmosphere.

Greetham is a modern hall run by Unite students, who have many halls accross the country. Greetham is centrally located, and is beneficial for first years as it is close to all Lectures, nightlife and people who you can meet within the halls.

Really good, one of the best, if not the best of the accomodation choices. Really helpful and friendly staff who are always there to look out for and support you.

Good appliances, and room sizes are okay for what you need (study, relax etc). Price should be lower for what you get.

Was fantastic best year of my life, would definitely spend another year in these halls, friends are great and very close to the nightlife

Rooms in great condition, the common room is amazing with great views and games like table tennis and pool. The washing facilities are good but can get very busy so it's best to do washing during the day or late at night. Some of the chairs in the kitchen of my flat were a little damaged when I moved in but after mentioning this to greetham street they were replaced.

The staff here are very friendly and willing to help, maintenance issues are resolved promptly and the cleaners are efficient and friendly. In terms of the quality of the accommodation, when I moved in the bar stool style chairs were falling apart a bit but once I had logged the issue with Unite Students we had all our stools replaced! The common room is a lovely area however I personally don't use it much unless I'm seeing friends outside of the halls and want a relaxed and friendly setting to socialise in. The location is fantastic as there is a tesco express and a co op about a minute's walk away, a larger tesco 10 minutes, most of the uni buildings are no further than a 15 minute walk, Gunwharf quays about 20 to 25 minutes, and cascades shopping centre about 10 minutes away. Portsmouth and Southsea train station is less than two minutes walk away as well.

Rooms were clean, comfortable and really well layed out however wardrobe space was lacking but not a big deal. Really friendly staff and an overall good experience. Wifi was pulling 130mbps on ethernet too so thats a massive plus. Very expensive though...

Whilst the area was amazing and the rooms beautiful I feel the flat I had was incredibly overpriced. I was paying £180 p/w for a studio flat.

The halls it's self is quite nice and the people living here is nice. What doesn't give it the 5 stars is that I have to pay for laundry online and not with cash
