Overall I great halls of residence, a few minor issues that could be sorted but the rooms are good and the shared living spaces are well set out

The rooms are a reasonable size, as well as the community areas within a flat. The whole halls experience is definetly recommended, it allows you to meet new people and create relationships that will be vital to your uni life, as well as flat parties and pre drinks you’ll meet so many people who you’ll click with

Countless maintenance issues and lots of rats/ silverfish. Flats basic and in need of modernisation. Rent ridiculously high for what it is. Look elsewhere! The owner ‘CLV’ are also really unhelpful and unethical.

Great location, facilities aren't as good as others nearby however still very good. Staff are very friendly too!

When I arrived the room was not gully cleaned. I have never seen a cleaner which you supoosedly get within your rent. Lots of rats running around the smoking area and creckheads looking for cigarret butts (there is a homeless shelter a minute away from the halls). Moreover, things break and it takes ages for them to fix it (have very few contractists for all of the halls). If it wasn for the social life (500 people live there), the free bus, location, and stuff, I would have even rated it with one star.

Good location, rooms average size, kitchen ok. Some flats have a different (and worse layout) which I ended up on the bad end. Despite paying the same some flats are bigger and the room sizes vary. Had issue with clear bugs coming out of drains. Maintenance is poor (took 9 days to fix a oven, no hob or grill. Called a specialist only to clarify it was the oven fuse not the actual oven)! Got charged for items that were missing from the inventory in my room despite not having it to begin with and raising this issue when moving in. My bed also was very uncomfortable and when compared to my flat mates my mattress was very thin and old (bottomed out when sitting on it and I’m only 70kg!). Wish I lived somewhere else.

Good location as is close to shops for food and drink also quite close to town. It's quite dirty and the showers either are freezing cold or scorching hot. They have multiplw problems like turning the water and internet off.

Cranborne was by far one of the main reasons I enjoyed freshers. The close distance from home to town made everything a lot more enjoyable and easy. The people you meet there and the environment is just so memorable. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. For me, coming back from a night out took you a 5 minute walk (10 if you stop for a pizza or a cheeky kebab). Having the freedom to just cross over the courtyard to another person’s flat, or up the lift to your mates’ was amazing. The proximity to Purbeck and Lyme made it great too.
