Great location, love the coffee shops - perfect for studying and catching up with friends. Everything is just a short walk away which is very convenient and means you don't have to rely on public transport.

Plymouth uni has such a Great location right by the sea and moor and yet in the heart of a city with a city centre campus

Plymouth has wonderful views and beaches, however most can only be accessed by cars. There is a very nice modern shopping centre, lots of cinemas, bowling, many activity centres with sports like climbing and trampolining. There are many lovely parks around, perfect to relax in the summer months.

The university is based in the centre of the city. Everything is at walking distance with great public transport running till late if not all night. The clubs again are at walking distance with your accommodation super close wherever you are.

Plymouth it's located in the South West of Englan. I would describe Plymouth as a university city. You can have a night out eveyday of the week, and it's always people out. Prices are normally quite cheap comparing with another cities. Also you can find a great variety of bars and restaurants. Luckily plymouth it's by the dead side, wich it makes it lovely when it's good weather. Also it's close from a lot of beaches.

Small city but full of life. Can easily get to one side or other by walking, with lots of great shops and restaurants. The hoe and Barbican are lovely historical areas that are great on sunny days, with great food places including capt jaspers. Loads of opportunities to sail which is fab for me.

Plymouth University has a fantastic location. For one, it is a campus university which creates a safe, community feel, but it is also in the centre of town. This means that there are no longer travel times into uni from your accommodation or to get your shopping.

Plymouth is a beautiful sea side city. The Barbican is a nice place on the harbour to go and have a pint after uni on a sunny day. The night life isn't as good as a bigger city but hosts lots of events like dnb/house/techo in a dingey little club called Factory- always a steamer. The Hub is where it's at for live stuff, ranging from Land of the Giants to Ed Solo. Got ya typical Pryzm where it's all good for those £1 shots on a Wednesday then to Cuba for a dance on the poles/ tables after. It's got an OMG for all those of the same pursuasion or for straight couples that think it's too risky to take their other half to a 'straight' club and where you'll definitely see a drag queen which is amazing. Union Street is always a bad option for me but if you like roudy locals and the certainty to see a fight then that's your place, couple of casino's if you like a flutter. It's got Pop World for all ya 90's hits where you'll most definitely see ya Nan or aunty out or Crash Manor for Charlie Sloth kinda music. Best challenge on a sunny day is to start at the top of Mutley at the Roundabout, have a pint in each pub and see how far you can make it into town (there's about 10+ on Mutley and the rest... can't really remember)- if you make it to Union Street you're a top dog. Food wise if you go to Captin Jaspers on the Barbican for a raging burger you may bump into the Aquila (Devon's motor cycle 'gang') or go to Imperial Garden for a Chinese on Ebrington Street it's fucking sublime. Lots of expensive bars on Ebrington Street if you wanna impress that fine piece you met on tinder or if you're really swanky take them on walk around Devils Point (free parking) then down to Royal William Yard- always a winner for a 1st date, trust. Shit mate that was an impressive review of Plymouth if I do say so myself.

Fantastic location, close to beaches and the Hoe is lovely in the sun. Easy to see lots of attractions in Devon and Cornwall such as the Eden Project and Lands End.

Great university, everyone is so friendly and makes you welcome. Loverly people and always willing to help. Smaller university than others so easy to find your way around and lots of people to meet. The students union offers so much to do with lots of advice on offer too and many free services. Uni is in centre of the city and next to the railway station so everything is in walking distance once you arrive.

The location of Plymouth university is fantastic, everywhere is within walking distance within the main city and there is a variety of buses that can you take to the outer parts which are run constantly. The clubs are within walking distance or a short cab ride which is £4.00, so only £1 per person! it additionally has some amazing scenic places for you to visit such as the Hoe, the Barbican and the variety of parks.

You’re never too far away from a good view and places to explore - whether it be the Hoe, the Barbican or even a short drive out to Dartmoor. Plymouth is bussling with nice spots especially on a sunny day. Despite the long distance from London, and from home for me personally, and being tucked in the South West, Plymouth is an interesting city with adaquate shopping, nightlife and activites for you not to need to travel. However, for more unique events and entertainment, it’s rare many musicians visit Plymouth - and Bristol (2 hour direct train) would be potentially the closest ‘big’ city. A night out in Plymouth can be pricey on a Saturday with their biggest club - Pryzm charging extortionate prices but students opt to go out during the week there. However, there are other choices. For those who like a smaller venue, at a better value, SU, Fresher & Professor and Fever are perfect, providing popular music and themed nights (e.g Detention at SU - for those who prefer alternative music). Alongside this, The Hub and Factory are intimate venues providing Bassline, D&B, Jungle and Garage music weekly with a variety of popular MCs and DJs performing. In addition to this, clubs like Cuba and Switch, which are essentially bars open till the early hours is where you may find yourself at the end of the night before heading to 24 hour cafe/bar/restaurant, Caffeine Club for some good munch before heading home.

The uni is in a great location in regards to the rest of the city. It's easy to get to via public transport and foot. There are plenty of choices when it comes to food, both for delivery and going out for a meal. The shopping centre is a decent size but I feel it leaves something to desire. Overall it is a good uni in a good location.

Night life is good with lots of good bars and clubs which are cheap and always have events and bands. The uni is in the centre of the city so it's close to everything, with an on site gym and pubs and bars it's a good place to be. Close to the sea, it's a perfect summer spot. The shopping mall is big with almost every shop you can think of.

Good night life with lots of events. A decent sized shopping mall with all the must have shops. Clean place closed to the sea so great in the summer. Uni is in the centre so close to everything, as well as having an on site gym, pubs and bars, which are very cheap, it's an all round good place.

Night life is pretty weak although if you’re not afraid to walk there’s some good bars and coffee shops

Coming from Cardiff, it’s very small, not a lot to do, and too much of a student city. Only things good are the Barbican, and how everything’s walking distance

Nice place with warm weather (even when it rains) and right by the sea so there’s always something free to do! Nightlife and shopping are good for a small city nothing is more than 15 minutes walk and the uni is 2 minutes from the city centre

nights out are OK, only good club is Pryzm and even that aint very good, generally not much to do for students considering there is a high student population, wouldn't really recommend, only thing that is good is the hoe seafront, however only good when there is good weather which we only get in summer when we are not at uni! Shopping centre doesn't have much shops either.. no Zara, Footlocker, Office etc. overall honestly if you want a banging uni experience dont come to plymouth

The university campus is int he city centre which means that it is close to everything. The main shopping mall is literally 3 minutes walking from my class, which means that I can go and buy things that I want during my lunch break. Apart from tht there are hundreds of restaurants just at the doorstep of the university campus. You don't really need any means of transport as you can go everywhere by foot.
