Overall I really like my accommodation as it is located in a really central point of Plymouth so I am very close to the university and to the centre. I also like the fact that I have access to a common room and a study area. The only downside to my accommodation is that stuff regularly needs fixing and that my flat is not in a great place as we are next to quite a few studio flats who do not socialise.

Perfect location, directly opposite the uni and also close to the town and a supermarket. Great opportunity to share a flat with others while still having your own bathroom. Loved living here.

Good place to live. Close to uni and town and tesco is on the bottom floor, washing is a little expensive. Good security and no RAs so good for nights out

Location is perfect for university students, close to town and to the university. The social side could be improved with limited events for the whole accommodation, mainly a dominoes event early in the year. More free food has to be key in my opinion and quizzes would work also. Prizes mean social interaction.

The location of the university was very good, even taking the stairs down from the 6th floor got you to lectures on the main campus in minutes. The social experience with good, with a dominoes pizza event thrown early in the year to get people interacting they need to promote floor type event as I am still in touch with people from my flat and my floor. Outside of these zones interaction was limited.

Very easy living. Bit expensive and some things take a while to be repaired eg lift and side door. Could be cheaper as the company are unfairly making extortionate profits off students already in enough financial difficulty.

Discovery heights is in a great location just off campus and right next to the city centre. My room was great with stunning views the only downfall of the rooms were that they all only had single beds. All rooms also boast an en suit which was great. The social areas were spacious and comfortable. Discovery heights has a reputation for being one of the most socialble halls in Plymouth. Unlike many other halls of residence there are no RA’s meaning the party can go on all night. I am very happy that I chose to experience my first year at uni at disco and I am very grateful for all the friends I met there

Lots of social events in freshers. Good quality rooms, kitchens etc. Lift has been broken for 3 months now, I chose disco because it had two lifts but only one works half the time. Side door doesn’t work either. Fun halls, great view from the top floor too.

Discovery Heights is a really nice place to live, the reception staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are a good size and the location is great as you’re right next to the Uni.

Location is great, opposite the university and town is at the end of the car park. The room is spacious and heats up quickly. On the top floor the wind is really noisy when it picks up, I had an issue with my window which took almost 3 months to have fixed. Any small issues are fixed within days and there is a MOT service before Christmas where any issues not dealt with are highlighted and fixed. There are occasional events in the common room (icebreaker pizza, icebreaker breakfast, Christmas party) but once you make friends it’s easy and fun to have your own fun in your flats. Two lifts are great because one is usually broken but I can still get to the top floor without having to use the stairs. Cleaners are lovely. Take your own bins out with a bin room provided on the ground floor as well as bike storage. Had a few issues with wifi but that’s the fault of the internet provider not unite.

I lived in discovery heights in my first year of study. The location is perfect, the university is just a couple of minutes away as is town centre and the train station isn't too far away either, -8 minute walk- the staff are friendly and helpful and any problems with maintenance was dealt with ASAP. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars is that of the laundry facility. There are plenty of machines, however, quite often I'd fill the machine up only to find out as I press start that the machine isn't working - out of order signs would really be helpful! I had no problems with my flat itself, we all had en-suite rooms and only shared the kitchen, which had plenty to offer - perfect for socialising with flatmates!
