Point Exe

I was understandably worried when I got assigned Point Exe as accommodation. All reviews I saw were awful, it was next to a train station, and it was all the way down by St David's train station. In truth, I couldn't have asked for a better accommodation. The people I was put with were amazing - so much so that I live with most of them now, in second year - the accommodation was reasonably cheap for a full en-suite shower, and it seemed to be that EVERYONE who lived at Point Exe was lovely and up for a laugh! The walk is made much better by the shuttle bus that runs to and from St David's station every morning and evening, and the train station itself is a massive convenience at best, and an interesting sight at worst. Trust me, you'll be a train-spotted by the end of the year! Overall, Point Exe is a lovely place to live. The people are great (including the staff), the accommodation is lush, the shuttle bus is a major convenience (you don't even have to walk up forum hill!), and you're reasonably close to town (but good luck with Peep Lane...).

I was really pleasantly surprised by my stay in point exe! When you've gotten used to the walk up to campus it doesn't seem very far away at all, and the proximity to the imperial is fantastic when you want to pop over for a drink. Point exe had a great social vibe, with people from all different flats knowing each other and mingling, creating a really nice community feel. The staff there were lovely and super helpful in times of need, and there were regular mini events such as a Christmas decorations making station.
