Holland Hall

Amazing views over the rolling hills of Exeter, expensive for rooms that are similar to those in birks and penny c. Very close proximity to campus and sports park. Rooms are ensuit with option to pay more for view. Would recommend the experience.

Location is very good as it is very close to campus and 2 minute walk from the gym and other sports facilities. Social experience is very good although would be better if the bar was open for students. Room is a good size with a double bed and an en suite. Also comes with a fridge which is useful.

Without an official pathway but rather a road that cars drive on it is often a fear that a fast driving car in the dark evening of winter must run me over, due to its speed. A designated pavement should be invested in.

Great location - on the edge of campus and by the gym. Really nice rooms with mini-fridges and a ensuite bathrooms. Catered food with plenty food choice

Location is very good, little far from town but have to compromise somewhere. Facilities are fine, could do with a better toaster, or a toastie maker in the utility room, and there are not enough washing machines to satisfy the needs of 400 students. Social experience is fun, everyone very friendly, although I wouldn't recommend this hall for any non-public school educated prospective student, as they would struggle a lot at the start as a lot of people know other people through school and other friends. The rooms are great, enough space and beds are very comfy, plus it's beautiful having a private en-suite bathroom

Very good location, only a 5 minute walk to gym and campus. Although you have to walk up a very big hill on the way back from town/ after a night out. Food is alright. Rooms are relatively big and you have your own bathroom, but it is a wet room so the whole room gets wet after a shower.

Beautiful rooms with a great patio area and view, staff are friendly and halls are very clean. Food provided is widely ranged. The set up can be a little unsocial though, particularly during freshers week as you do not meet flatmates in the same way as other halls with shared kitchen facilities. However, once settled in is a great accommodation.

Good location, very close to campus compared to some other halls, and less than a 5 minute walk to the sports park. Rooms and food are good, the view is really nice.

Great hall, large rooms with large wardrobes, big desks, a double bed and an ensuite. Holland’s catering is alright, its a bit hit and miss, but overall it’s a great way to socialise with your friends, and takes the stress away from having to cook for yourself. Nice people, nearly all my friends at university have been made through living here. We have a great common room space, which was great for meeting people in freshers week, and there is a great view (which you can pay extra to have from your room!) It’s location is great for getting to campus, as it’s only a 5 minute walk to the forum, and reasonably close to town as well.

It's closer to the main campus (Streatham) compared to other halls, tad pricier than others but totally worth it!

The rooms are comfortable and its nice having your own bathroom. Food is fine, although if you're not a morning person you probably won't ever get breakfast as they stop serving quite early. Its useful having a cleaner once a week too, they are all quite friendly.

The rooms in Holland (and most other catered halls in Exeter) are probably the nicest of any other University I’ve visited. Holland is centred around a main common room which is particularly sociable and the food is incredible

Such beautiful halls! Stunning view, shared canteen making it a super social space and amazing facilities. I miss it!
