The nights out in oxford are good fun, there are a variety of different clubs or pubs you can go to and there are loads of themed nights in the clubs. There is a good range of places to eat food, which range from fast food change, small businesses and large companies. There are plenty of different types of foods to choose from like Chinese, Indian, Italian and Mexican. There are also a lot of places that cater for different food allergies like lactose intolerant or gluten free. the shopping centre is lovely and brand new with a good wide range of shops for everyone however there an no cheaper shops such as poundland or the works in oxford town centre. The value for money in oxford is good as transport is cheap and there are plenty of places to go which can be in anyone's budget. Worth a visit, such a lovely city with beautiful scenery and places to visit.

Such a pretty city with a lot to keep you entertained. When the weather is nice there are lots of nice parks, and pubs to go to, or punting down the river. Many places to go for food. And there is a nice mix between the colleges and then cowley road which is more studenty with cocktail places, pubs and clubs.

Excellent nightlife, cute cafes and bars, lots of parks and campuses for weekends, punting when it’s sunny, public library is unreal and cycle friendly! Oxford is an amazing town for students.

There was much to do in the area and it was easy to get public transport to different areas of the city. The people were also incredibly friendly and helpful when I was in need of directions.

Great place to live, lots to do and a bustling atmosphere. A nice amount of green space for a city too. You cannot talk about Oxford without mentioning the architecture: fantastic! Only downsides is that there are lots of tourists, and it can feel a bit claustrophobic as a result

A beautiful and historic with stunning architecture and great places to eat. The Westgate shopping mall is full of all the well-known brands whilst the Cowley area is more known for charity shopping and vintage clothes so there is something for everyone. There is also lots to do with lots of different pubs and music venues and events going on. The only downside really is how expensive Oxford is.

My absolute favourite city! So pretty and also lots of nice little coffee shops. Really great social vibe as the university is spread over the whole city so there are lots of students around. Not a great choice of clothes shops but there is a great student nightlife scene. Pretty good value for money with lots of student offers in the sity

The location of the university is brilliant. Nothing is too far. We have got everything we need in and about 2 miles.

Oxford is a great pleace to be. There are plenty of shops (both large chains and unique independent shops). There is plenty to do around town, including sightseeing, botanical gardens, museums etc. Transport is very easy around the whole area. Only negative, because it is a tourist destination, it can get very busy/crowded and some things can be expensive.

There are great places to shop and eat around here and it’s the perfect combination of quiet and exciting. London is an easy hour train ride out of town, which is extremely convenient and makes oxford’s location ideal for those with an adventurous flair.

Everything is pretty close by in the centre which is great, and love that its pedestrianised/cycles only!

There's so much on offer you'll barely able to do everything you want to. There's ample facilities for numerous sports and societies; a great selection of museum/exhibitions to discover; and a solid range of clubs around Oxford (I can count 11 off the top of my head) all offering unique nights out. The new Westgate shopping centre is huge and adds to Oxford's plethora of restaurants and shops. Unfortunately prices tend to be a bit high but what did you expect for Oxford? It's one of the most beautiful cities in England with its stunning architecture and beautiful green spaces. Definitely good value for money when you get to live in The City of Dreaming Spires for 3/4 years. Would recommend.

Oxford was a great place to go to uni. Really good balance of independent shops/restaurants/pubs and chains which guaranteed a range to suit all needs. The pubs were particularly good although sometimes very expensive. Now that the Westgate Shopping Centre has reopened, I think there are lots more options and it has made Oxford a real destination for shoppers and days out. Also the location of the city made it perfect to escape to the Oxfordshire countryside but also so easy to get to London!

Oxford is an incredible city! It's so pretty, has a lot of history and stunning architecture. It's also super lively and has such a lovely buzz to it without being overly busy. The Westgate shopping centre is perfect for food, social and shopping. At the same time, there are lots of green places you can go to to escape the hubub of the city centre. Oxford can be a bit expensive though.

Oxford is a fantastic location not only for education, but for social life as well. There are museums and tourist sites that are available at walking distance, and hundreds of libraries to access and study in. The nightlife is great too, with plenty of bars and clubs to suit different personalities.

Oxford as a location for university life is pretty perfect. It is small enough to feel manageable, yet had so much going on. The setting is beautiful with old colleges distributed throughout the main town, large park areas for example south parks and uni parks as well as a brand new, modern shopping centre - The West Gate. Whilst the Main Street (George street) from the station hosts many chain restaurants, areas of Oxford such as Cowley and Jericho contain lots of independent restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes. The number of clubs in Oxford is shrinking, with probably 1/2 nights on each day. However there are lots of places to drink, 2 spoons, beer/ale bars, cocktails bars — e.g house, the duke of Cambridge and a new piano and wine bar - Sandy’s. Oxford has now been named one of the most unaffordable places to live and you really do notice this as a student.

Since Westgate has opened, Oxford has definitely become a location and a half! There’s great views over the city to catch up with friends or do uni work in the sun, and all of the colleges and accommodation are virtually in the city centre if not close to it. Travel around the city is also really easy as the buses are very frequent, but most people cycle. There’s also a great train service there too!

There are four campus spread across the city and all are connected by a free uni bus service. Shopping is great with the new shopping center, and is only a 20 min walk form headington campus. Night life is ok, there are about 8 clubs in the city center and loads of pubs located near student accommodation

Really enjoyed myself in Oxford. Isn't as big city as London but everything needed is here and convenient. Public transport is really good too. Prefer Oxford to big cities as its not too busy.

Oxford: Great variety of food, restaurants, cafes, cocktail bars/pubs, night clubs you name it. There really is something for everyone! It is a slightly more student oriented town which meals you should always ask if they’ve got student discount. Great range of shops, some high street shops, mid-range and higher end, plus some indie or cutsy stores to find something a little different. Competitive book stores (again great for students). Plus there’s some culture, including museums, art galleries, cool oxford colleges to see, punting. Also it’s a cycling town so they get priority and there are a lot of great cycle routes to explore - note: if you just want to borrow a bike then they have bike systems stationed around town where you can pick up a bike, pay, cycle and then leave it somewhere else. It’s not the biggest town, but it’s a bit of everything and has some nice countryside and little towns/villages on the outskirts.

Oxford is a beautiful city - I always feel like a tourist! But besides the old buildings and streets, there's always plenty to do and see - whether it's eating out, drinks and nights out, or walks and museums. Plus, everything is within cycling (or walking) distance, no need to rely on public transport, it's a real student bubble, but a great bubble!

I love everything about Oxford, the nightlife, the feeling when you enter the historic centre, the tourists as well as the student atmosphere. Although Oxford is a little more expensive than some places to live, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!

Location is amazing. £10 for return to London valid for 3 months. All student get free bus travel round the city. Which is great because then going for a night out in London is so much cheaper. I prefer the nights in London to oxford as it’s so small.
