Halls are close to my job, the canteen and to where my lecturers are. I enjoy how close the halls are to the center of campus

The location of the main halls was great as you would only have to go downstairs and walk down a corridor to get food and anything else you need from the hub. However, John Dalton has shared bathroom which I don't mind, but for those on want an en-suite I wouldn't recommend (or take your shower/bath at night). For freshers and the beginning of university I would try to be less antisocial (like me), talk to your neighbors and go out with them (only if you want to) because I really regret not doing that now. My room was brilliant and it had all the space I needed in order for it to not look like a mess. It has the basic things you need in it so you can always build up from there. I recommend buying a full length mirror from the B&M as they become really handy for nights out (instead of trying to stand on toilet seats to get a full image of yourself in the toilet mirrors). I would also recommend a mini fridge if you can afford one (I couldn't). Some neighbors might inconsiderately take your food and not own up to it because they're evil c**ts so just be careful about what you keep in the fridge and freezer. You'll also have a mini locker in the kitchen (with your own keys) so you can safely keep dry items in there. That's another thing, try and always keep your keys on your because nothing is worse than locking yourself out by accident, getting in late and having to keep knocking till someone lets you in, or having to go back into the cold, and telling security you lost your keys on the first night. It's a great value for money because you'll get £40 to spend on food in the hub every week, if you love chicken and chips, past or rice, they will be best thing since sliced bread. The internet's always which is help, when it's down 1-3 times a year there's always the bonus of your tutor moving your deadlines to a later date. All in all, there's been no horrid reason that would've stopped me from staying in Edge Hill's Main Halls again. Enjoy your time as it will be over sooner than you think x.

Poor conditions, not worth the money, no communal area so you feel segregated and detached from others in the halls, yet you share everythjng so you live in fear of seeing someone Only benefit is the fact its catered but the allowance isn't enough also has poor planning as you can't get in after 8 unless you use a side door

Living in main halls was brilliant! I lived with all girls and this is what I chose to do. We shared our facilities which was never any bother. We were catered for so when ever we went for food, it encouraged us to be social. Our rooms were standard but we could add anything to make it our own place! I wouldn’t have wanted my experience any other way! Just beware of healthy eating !! But amazing value for money

Halls were cleaned regularly by cleaning staff, broken facilities were fixed quickly. Very good value for money.

The room was very basic however, we was catered and I had my food paid for which was a positive and made first year easier! Our halls was also very sociable and I had a really good first year! The location of halls was perfect as it was in the middle of campus therefore it was central to everything!
