Nottingham is full of fun and exciting possibilities. Whether it be a day of shopping, there are plenty of options depending on what it is you're looking for, but most importantly, they have independent shops in the Hockley area where quirky and fabulous items can be purchased (from nik naks to designer clothing). There are always things to do in the city - from exploring the underground City of Caves, to being taken back in time by visiting the Galleries of Justice; or going to the Lost City Crazy Golf to have fun trying to hit golf balls through the hard challenges to get a hole in one! The city is full of so much hidden history that is just waiting for people to explore.

Good food and shopping available, however the student areas can get a bit dodgy with people recently being held at knifepoint and without much care given by the police.

Thursday student nights in rock city are good fun and good value for money. Roosters is amazing, cheaper and more tasty alternative for Nando’s. Broadmarsh isn’t worth the walk, stay in Victoria center.

Shopping is mediocre, not a lot of shops and they usually close at 5 or 6pm. However there is a lot of variety of food. Entertainment in Nottingham includes bowling alleys, cinemas, casinos and theatres so there is generally lots of things to do if you have the budget for it and live near the city centre. Nights out are quite decent, there are events happening almost every night, with entry being quite reasonable prices, sometimes the clubs even have free entry and a free drink on certain days. Accommodation is generally quite reasonably priced so I would say that the overall value for moneyis worth it.

It is a great city that has lots of things to do, I especailly love how many asian restaurants and shops there are and how many places there are available for you to go shopping.

Very good city for students, majority of attractions are in walking distance from most student accommodations and there is always something to do. A different student night is available every night and also lots of student deals on offer.

I think the transport is one of the best I've ever seen in the United Kingdom. Also, nights out are great in Nottingham, and the banter between the two unis are great. The shopping is average but Birmingham isn't too far away if you want to do a lot of shopping.

Town is always friendly and clean but there is always lots of building work and it can be noisy in the city centre. Accomodation is also not cheap, especiall for trent uni. I like almost everything else about the city though.

Nottingham is a great student city. It has lots of entertainment from cinemas, bowling, miniglof to cubs, bars and restaurants. The transport is good as the tram takes you around the city center although most things are within walking distance. The city has two universitys so everywhere caters for students with most places offering discounts and deals. I would highly recommend.

Lots of things to do within the city. Old and new things occur daily and that's what is great about Nottingham. A nice place to hang out with friends

The city of Nottingham has so much to offer and for such a wide variety of people. For example, I can visit here for a day out to Nottingham Forrest with my young cousins or to the shops with my parents, of which there are many and a great selection, of clubbing at night time with my mates. There are some hidden gems to visit too, hint piano and pitcher. A brilliant place to visit, really recommend.

Nottingham City is a great place when it comes to shopping and restaurants. There is a wide selection of types of food and cost. The uni of nottingham nights out are great with many different clubs and styles of music to choose from however the ticketing system can be quite annoying as it prevents a spontaneous night out which can be a perk of university life. Nottingham city feels as safe as a city possibly could but Lenton the student area couldn’t be further from safe. Overall, it is a great city but it’s advisable to not be alone in the dark.

Nottingham is great place for students to feel at home. It’s the perfect middle ground between a big city with the calm of a small village.

Lots of good restaurants/areas to go with good entertainment. Green areas such as wollaton park good for a nice sunny day

Nights out are decent although not much variety compared to other city’s within the U.K., there is two shopping centres that offer lots of different shops for everyone, as well as the high street. Value for money is good although can be expensive at the weekends.

Nottingham is an amazing student city! There are plenty of bars with cheap drinks for students such as bierkeller (£2 pints) or Baa Bar shots bar. There is also night clubs open multiple nights a week with special student events such as crisis or pom pom night events. There are also plenty of places to eat as well! From annies burger shack to mowgali, you are bound to get value for money!

Nottingham is one of those cities in which the locals never stray far - born and bred Notts'ers never seem to leave. And why would they? The compact city is easily accessible, with every shop and restaurant one can hope for. There are many pop-up and independent restaurants, so there's always somewhere new to eat, and a vast array of events to attend, so there's a night out for every kind of person: from Techno Events to Board Game Cafes, every student can find their niche. The city is fairly small, so any country bumpkin should have no problem orientating themselves, and there is a never-ending supply of taxis for those unexpected turn of events. There are groups of students on every corner at all times of day and night, giving the city a safe atmosphere. Overall, a great city to experience student life.

Nottingham is has small but packs a punch. The scene is very alt. With cool bars and a good music scene, all pretty cheap. Living in the centre is affordable so you don't have to pay for much transportation, it would probably take about 20 mins to walk from one side to the other. For fans of vintage shops, good coffee and music

Good city, Theres a lot to do such as museums, art galleries, eateries etc. The nightlife is good though could do with more gay scene options. The castle is beautiful and there are lots of little alley ways with quirky bars. We also have a kitty cafe which is very cute. Notts is also close to Derbyshire and extensive countryside

As a music student in Nottingham I spend a lot of my free time out at local music venues to see the local musicians and to take part in nottinghams music scene. Theres dozens of venues and hundreds of bands an musicians so if you love live music (both making it and going to see it) Notts is the right place to go.

Verry busy, good shops plenty of options. The entertainment Isent great the corner house has cinima, casino and mini golf but other than that the casual activity are low, the food places are good but can't say there's a lot of choices Annie's burger shack is the best place there food is so good and inventive, a good place to take friends. Clubbing is okay there is a couple choices of clubs but there not to my likeing although one that I do like is being renevated ao thats somting to look forward to.
