Sherwood hall has a great atmosphere, and is especially nice in the summer. It has one of the best locations on campus as it’s situated on the edge of the downs with plenty of open space, whilst also being 30 second walk from the gym and bus stop and a 8 Minute walk from the main learning buildings. The food is good, but there is limited options and not a good salad bar making food quite unhealthy. The jcr provides a great space for social activities.

Great atmosphere lovely staff not too far away from anything especially the gym. Absolulty great! The rooms don't have ensuite however I you never need to wait there's always a shower or a toilet available.

This hall is right near to the gym which is good but further away from academic buildings compared to other halls. The social experience in the hall is good because you are all livin together and there is a JCR but as a campus university it is very closed off from other things

Halls of residence: the epitome of any social activity and the “door opener” to university life. Or so I thought. The reality was far more severe, mostly due to the catered element of the University campus halls, providing awkward meal times and a choice between the bland and blander. If you weren’t put into the main body of Sherwood, it would be nigh on impossible to experience the same social aspect that others so profoundly bask in. Loneliness, isolation and longing in the heart of this “social hub” is what provided me with a s*** experience of halls of residence, and I wouldn’t wish this for anyone.
