Raleigh Park

Location is brilliant for medical students and good if you want to cook for yourself in more affordable halls. Social life suffers and you miss out on campus and their bars. Good location by Lidl and walkable from town. Good bus link. The staff are unfriendly and make a racket in the mornings smoking outside

Raleigh park is very reasonably priced especially in comparison to other similar accommodations. The location is ideal for people studying at jubilee campus and is merely a 20 minute walk to the town centre. There is often free food available around once a week which is a nice perk, and even social activities in the JCR. My room was fairly basic but has what you need - and you get what you pay for. The one thing that could be improved perhaps is the response time of maintenance to repair/ replace things.

Really good alternative to on campus accommodation if you want the freedom to eat what you want, when you want, and not be restrained by meal times. It feels much more independent: lidl, Greggs, dominoes visible from some windows, a bus stop into town just outside. It benefits from being equidistant to town and uni, which means you're only a 20 minute walk to lectures, or from a night out- saving you on taxi fares. Overall great atmosphere with lovely people-as long as you're in silitoe.

The location is decent only a 10 minute walk to Jubilee Campus or 20-30 minute walk to uni park. SPC is better because you have a free bus to take you to uni and back. The facilities are okay nothing fancy but it's manageable. Maintenance are very fast to deal with problems. Loads of people to make friends with there very friendly. If you don't like your flat go and invade someone else's. Thin walls so you can talk to your flat without leaving your room so buy earplugs

It's very practical and has everything you need. Good location for shopping, you can walk to both town and uni, and there are lots of people so it has a nice vibe. It doesn't look amazing though which is the only big thing.

The location is great because it's only a 5 minute walk to my lectures, and I can even see the campus from my room window. My room is spacious and has everything I need except for a mirror and a bedside table. Overall I love Raleigh park!

During my stay here I found the halls very unsociable and found it very hard to make friends and integrate within the block. Byron Place, the particular area of Raleigh Park I stayed in, was probably the oldest area of residence and the flats were the least modern out of all the flats I visited. Upon arrival, there were already many faults, one fridge didn't work, I didn't have a chair in my room, one of my flatmates heater did not work and the overall water pressure was very low. My room was a fairly standard size with a good amount of storage space, however the mattress was an awful material and ridiculously squeaky. I found the staff at reception hard to speak to when I voiced any concerns, they were very unsympathetic and cold to speak to. The wifi was also very unpredictable and frustrating.

Would be 5 stars if washing machines and tumble dryers were better. They're constantly breaking and ruining clothes

The accommodation is in a great location for those studying on the Jubilee campus. Lidl is right across the street which is great for anybody looking to grab some cheap groceries. The rooms themselves are quite small but nothing out of the ordinary for uni accommodation. Kitchen is a good size but work space is not ideal if any more than 2 people are in the kitchen. Overall I had a very good experience.

I had a great time here. Good security staff and facilities! I found raleigh less social then other halls due to a lack of social spaces for large groups. The location was great as it was so close to Lidl however travelling to uni park took quite some time due to the long walk past Lidl to Jubeliee.

Ideal if youre on jubilee campus as it's only a 5 minute walk. Wouldn't recommend it to a fresher if you're course is mainly on uni campus. Great location for shops around because there's lidl, tesco, dominos, subway, greggs, wok n go. Rooms are decent size but not great, st peters court rooms look more modern. Cleaners don't do their job properly, sometimes staff can be quite rude. Didn't have the best social experience either, personally

Ideal if youre on jubilee campus as it's only a 5 minute walk. Great location for shops around as there's lidl, greggs, subway, wok n go, dominos, tesco. Rooms are a decent size but not great, and they weren't clean at all upon arrival. Gave it 3 stars because cleaners don't do their job properly, staff can be sometimes rude and the walls seem thin as I can usually hear my flatmates. Personally didnt have too good of a social experience either

Location is close to jubilee campus, Lidl and town. 903 bus will take you to uni park. Facilities are good standard and security is good. My room is an en suite plus, although I would have chosen a standard plus if I were to stay again as the shared bathrooms are fine. Social experience is good if you find good friends. Jcr is now only open until 11 which is a downfall.

Location is situated only 5 minutes away from Jubilee Campus which is convenient and also have Lidl/Dominoes/Tesco/Subway/Greggs nearby so you are able to get takeaways and do all your grocery shopping for the week. Room is quite spacious and has a big wooden desk to work & kitchen is enough to share with 5 other people. Events are put on throughout the year such as the Christmas Formal to get to know surrounding people better.

Boiler is broken, and has never been fixed properly Shower constantly switches back and forth between burning hot and freezing cold, and the pressure is low Price isn't too bad especially as all bills are included Have been lucky with my housemates but also the walls and floor are really thin so when they have later nights than myself I can here everything and it wakes me up Internet is good but could always be faster

There is a very good social atmosphere and is closer to the town centre than other halls located at uni park. However, it one of the furthest away from campus and the bus is very busy so getting to university could mean a 40 minute walk.

Raleigh Park is an amazing accommodation and the only downside is the distance it is from the university. It however makes up for this distance with a nearby Lidl, town a half hour walk/ 10 - 15m bus ride down Ilkeston Road. The facilities of the accommodation itself is average but the circus laundry is horrible and expensive. Socially it doesn’t hold as many events as the other accommodations especially the catered accommodation so there could be more social events such as formals. There are always events going on such as Chinese New Year, pancake day etc. I’m terms of rooms Raleigh Park is the best value for money. An ensuite plus costs less than a standard shared bathroom tab Broadgate.

Location is great if majority of lectures are in jubilee (business/economics), but the 25 minute walk has been abit of a dread sometimes. Accommodation is good could do with bigger fridges and thicker walls. Staff are for the most part lovely especially night staff and maintenance, receptionists not so much. Overall happy with Raleigh park and would have still chosen to live here now

Great place to live, very social, cheap and close to campus which makes it easy to wake up later and still make it to 9am’s. Close to the city centre, and local transport links, teams and buses etc.
