I have an amazing room. The room is a good size! I have enough space to exercise as well as study and have friends over! The breakfast menu is really good! The dinner menu is also decent with a lot of variety! Staff are very nice and helpful

Hugh Stewart hall is one of the best halls on campus, it has one of the best locations situated near to the University Park lecture halls and also nearby to a bus stop for the Jubilee hopper bus, this allows you to lie in that little bit later that just makes your day so much better. A huge hall of over 300 people as a Hugh Stewart resident you are guaranteed a great social life. The JCR and in hall bar are great places to socialise over a drink or a game of pool. The rooms are a good enough size with enough space to have a good personal space

Halls are definitely the best start to Uni at Nottingham! Hugh Stewart is the closest hall to all the science buildings, so a short walk in the mornings. Best part is that all your food it provided with a daily cooked breakfast ranging from croissants to a full English. Lunch is payed for with a weekly credit allowance of £27 that can be spent almost anywhere on campus, with almost too many options to get through in a year! The only downsides to this hall are that it can get quite noisy, especially on big club nights as people pre, and that dinner in halls is famously hit and miss, though this is a weird bonding experience shared by most at the university, you can always start a conversation complaining about halls dinner! Would definitely recommend!

really nice sized rooms but it depends on what side of the hall you get as to how big your room is. It's probably the best located hall on campus though and the new side looks so much better now it has been done up. It also has a really big JCR and bar.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in halls, it was always a buzzing atmosphere and always so many friendly faces to help you out if needs be. Hall formals and organised events were well organised and great fun.

best location on campus as it’s close to portland and to the libraries, one of the few halls with a bar, a bit jcr.

Being practically in the centre of the campus, Hugh Stewart Hall is in a really convient location. Also, among the students staying on-campus, it is well known as “one of the best halls” location, food, facility and social wise.

The location of HuStu is perfect, just a five minute walk from Portland, the bus stops and less than a 10 minute walk to the gym. Hustu has its own bar, Latitude, which is great for socialising with people.

The room itself and bathroom that I shared with one others person were up to scratch and had no real faults. However, it was the incredibly rude staff that ruined my experience and made me feel nervous about being in my own halls (for which I had paid a lot of money). From aggressive, rude and unhygienic kitchen staff, to the loud cleaners, to the random memebets of staff who would use their own key to open my door without knocking to see if I’m in.

I was in the new building which was slightly less pretty, I had a shared ensuite and it worked out ok. The bed was quite small and I didn't have enough space to put all my clothes

Location is amazing: really close to all academic buildings. Food is surprisingly really good and there is a fair amount of choice. Finally, there are formals and after parties which are a highlight of first year for me.
