The rooms are really quite small which although takes a little time to adjust is so fine! Every thing worked and if it didn't it would get fixed almost immedietly! The people who worked for the accommodation were so kind and patient with all of us, and it felt v safe and secure! Met the most lovely people!

Even though Hampden isn't the nicest halls, it is the cheapest and the most social halls I know. The rooms are quite small, however you do manage to fit a lot of stuff in there as there is good storage space. The common room only has a table to sit at and no couch but as a student you don't need more.

Hampden is very close to the university (it literally only takes a minute to get to the buildings on the city campus) which makes it ideal if you are an art student carrying a lot of work. It isn't near Clifton campus at all. You will need to walk 5 minutes and then catch a half an hour bus. Luckily the buses are quite frequent. The halls are a bit out of the way of the city but close enough to be walkable. This is great if you want to save money on a taxi after going out clubbing in the centre. The price point is very high though cheaper than other halls in the area. For what you're paying I would say look at private halls like Trinity Square which are much more up to date and modern. However, the room is quite modern but paint is coming off the walls and there is a bit of wear and tear. I like the fact they have a shared living space nearby which is great if you want a good social experience. It's also very close to the Student Union which does regular social meets and also is where a lot of the societies are held.

Small rooms , small kitchen not a lot of room for pre drinks , no communal area with decent wifi and staff support minutes away from city centre

Stayed in Hampden for my first year and it is the definition of budget halls lol! The rooms and bathroom reminded me of cruise cabins; really small and boxy. Also you have to share a bathroom with 1 other person, but this was fine for me because I was sharing with a nice girl and she was clean!! But Hampden was a good halls because of the location (so central) and there's only 6 in a house so the kitchen won't be as crazy messy as if there were 12 students in a halls.

Perfect location to university as well as town for nights out. Cheapest of the halls that are located on the university doorstep and while rooms were small they were recently refurbished and we had a brand new kitchen/living area. Definitely became cheaper to rent a student house with coursemates and first year flat mates in second year though Overall a very good experience nevertheless

The rooms are too small. All elements of a room eg bed, desk shelf and a wardrobe overlap. You don’t get a bed board, the bed just sits like it isn’t the most important part of a room. Toilets are worse than a airplane. Kitchen, everything breaks and takes months to repair. Social aspect and location is the only thing that keeps you sane.

I’ve loved living so close to the city centre and the university. it’s really helped me settle into my new home and everyone has been amazing.

The rooms were so small they were more like prison cells, however the friendliness and socialness of everyone there was amazing making it the perfect place to stay in your first year

the halls themselves aren't great. but these are 100% the best halls to stay in for socialising and meeting people. I don't regret my time there at all! definitely advise

The location was fantastic as it was so close to uni, although the size was very small compared to the other halls nearby. We had all of the facilities needed and the halls were cleaned weekly, we had a toilet/shower to share between two which was good and not too many people using the one, the rooms were small but still big enough to do work and everything else you needed to so that isn't much of a problem. And the social experience was great as the rooms and flats were so close and compact to each other, that you didn't have to walk too far to see anyone
