Location of the accommodation was great. It is situated directly opposite the medical centre and a laundrette, making trips with washing very easy. It was also only a 3 minute walk to the main lecture theatres. The facilities within the accommodation were okay. The matress was of poor quality but it was made up for by the large amount storage in each room, the modern look, nice carpet and decor, good size en-suite and desk with light and chair. The kitchen was good with the only draw backs being the lack of oven (microwave oven only) and small storage for multiple people. However there was a good seating area, multiple fridges and freezers, the sink was always working well and lots of light making it a nice communal area. Social experience was good as my flat was a size of seven, all along one corridor and surrounded by other flats. Although there is no Paston house communal area, making friends was easy and only made easier by the ethos of the uni

Room is of fair size and the bathroom is a generous size- both being larger than the more expensive Hickling and Barton. None of the halls at UEA have a communal space which is potentially the biggest let down, resulting in flatmates sitting in the corridors which may be an annoyance to some residents wanting a quiet night. For a flat of 12, sometimes 2 ovens are not enough, have previously found myself skipping on cooking meals due to being in a rush. The kitchens are very industrial like. The flats are well kept by the cleaners who are very friendly. The flats are also in a great location - a 2 minute walk to the lcr !

Paston House was a great way to start uni. Reasonably size ensuite room sharing a kitchen/ flat with 11 others. Not much interaction with other flats but within our flat we were quite sociable. Was quite expensive but was a 5 minute walk from lectures. Kitchen was ok, only had 4 hobs (2 of which didn't always work) and 2 microwaves (so no proper oven) between the 12 of us.

Good sized room with a large kitchen. However, there is hardly any use of the hoover which causes you to have a dirty floor and the sink gets clogged regularly.

Paston house is the perfect distance between every facilities available in campus. However there are always damaged bits in the building but do get fixed quickly.

Nice sized room and en suite. Poor sized kitchen with no other social areas other than the hallway. Cleaned daily, speedy maintenance, friendly staff.

Pretty good, made some quality friends and had a great experience first term. Really looking forward to second term and hoping we have a new toaster by then :)
