William Carey Hall

What I really enjoyed about staying in halls was that I had my own freedom as well as a group of friends that helped me during my stay. Every Monday and Thursday the staff whole cleaner came in and made sure that the holes were nothing but spotless furthermore I felt very at ease with the hygiene of the halls.

My experience at halls is terrible due to two of my flat mates who are are really dirty. ever since I moved in last year my flat mates always dirtied our kitchen and do not clean Isfter their selfs, I just thought it was going to be like that only for a while so I cleaned up their mess for a couple months. They actually never thought about cleaning.m their mess their selfs or even saying thank you for cleaning. The cleaners get fed up for seeing the kitchen dirty it smells sometimes too. It has come to a point where I don’t bother staying in my flat for weeks n I won’t cook I’ll starve or cook in my friends flat. I wish the rooms in William care were a bit bigger n more space. I think that the residential life team are very nice people the listen to you and they are very much friendly. But honestly I can’t wait to move out of park campus to due my flat mates

The location of the halls of residence is nice on park campus as surrounded by wildlife. However, there have been lots of fire alarms set off during the middle of the night and the security dont seem to have helped that In addition, the residential life team say that you can ring up to complain about the noise and they will come and sort it but they never do that. However, the updated kitchens in william carey are really nice and modern and the rooms are a decent size. However, cleaners can be a bit temperamental at times and we do not seem to have a hoover anymore. All in all, pleasant time spent here.

Within my halls there were many good things and only a few things that could be improved on. Even though the Cleaners were good, they could be more thorough in the kitchen. My flat mates and I always had to clean after they had been in. And there were some days they didn't come in. The nightlife was good, but it was sometimes a little loud, although if I had placement Sue came round and sorted it out. Unfortunately the halls always smelt like weed though, which was a shame. The one thing that really should've been improved on is the parking. There were loads of parking spaces, and I had placement. But I wasn't allowed a parking space which was outrageous.

The halls were the furthest away for everything. The kitchen was redone the summer before I moved in. Got my own en-suite. Could have better wardrobe space and firmer mattresses.
