Newcastle university is in a fantastic location as the university is pretty much in the town centre (5min walk to it). The campus is also not spread out all over Newcastle so all of your classes are within walking distance (unless you live miles away).

Newcastle is a very good town, you can sit by the river. Newcastle university is also very close to the town centre so if you want to go shopping during lunchtime you can do so

Newcastle is the best city I’ve visited and lived in. It has the best nightlife, food, shopping, value for money and everything you need all in a close walking distance. It is an amazing city!

Even though Newcastle is a relatively big city, it doesn't feel like a crappy northern version of New York like Manchester does. There is a bit of everything here: the city with a charming small-town vibe, the seaside a metro ride away, parks, cafes, you name it, it's bound to be close.

Great location of the uni being right in city centre. Only a 2 minutes walk to the centre where there is a variety of food and clothes stores that will satisfy and needs you have.

Newcastle is a vibrant city, day and night. From restaurants, bars and clubs to parks and fields, Newcastle has something for everyone. As well as the Moors in the north of the city, the quayside is a lovely place for a stroll and a pint.

Newcastle is a great place for students to be in. A relatively small city but full of hustle and bustle and very well connected by public transport. The nightlife here is one of the best in the UK and it's higly ecomomical for students like us. And being home to 2 universities, you're definitely gonna see students evrywhere, so making friends is easy.

The location of Northumbria university is great - it's near the city, so shopping and grocery buying is quick and easy to do. Plus the metro links take you from city to countryside in half an hour, or to the coast! There's also plenty of green space in Newcastle like Exhibition Park, Leazes Park and more.

The most amazing city in the UK. This place has everything from a beach, shopping, a metro and of course, the nightlife. Balancing the nightlife/lecturelife was hard but worth it. It's a stones throw away from gorgeous countryside too! Definitely a place to visit and study if you love culture, friendly people and fun.

Newcastle University is in an amazing location in the city, close to both Jesmond and the City Centre. There are many student housing areas and building surrounding it, as well as grocery stores and pharmacies in a minute’s walking distance. There are many pubs, shops, restaurants, and a whole mall around on the same street. A 5 minutes walk brings you to monument, and right off its campus is the Haymarket metro station that take you all the way to the airport or in the opposite direction to the coast.

The university is centrally located meaning there are plenty of options for lunch, post-lecture bevvies and activities and shopping whenever you've got a free hour. The library is located conveniently near a metro stop and the union is very central. The town has loads of different things to do and variety of cuisines and being situated by the river makes for a beautiful backdrop to the Quayside Sunday Market which is food heaven. There are so many cheap food and drink deals, different shops and green grass areas. There is something for everyone. And the metro makes it easy to get around for a few quid!

Newcastle offers the perfect balance between living in a city with plenty to do, without seeming too big or too hard to get around. I am always amazed by the wide range of restaurants, bars and clubs the city has offering very cheap food and drinks.

Newcastle is very accessible as it has it’s own airport, which makes planning trips so much easier. It’s also one of the few UK cities to have a metro system, which is fairly decent and very convenient (it it runs to time). Otherwise; most important things within the city centre such as supermarkets, the cinema, shops, and even clubs are within walking distance from most student accommodation areas. It’s a very affordable city to live in.

Newcastle is a great city for students. There are many clubs for all types of music, making it great for nightlife, as well as there being many cheap student events through out the week. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants to choose from, making it essential for everyone’s style of fashion and food. Transportation throughout the city is great and cheap, linking to both unis and the coast.

Newcastle is a busy city with something for everyone from family days out at museums and nature parks to wild nights on the 'toon'. The range of restaurants in the city centre is fantastic and there's a wide selection of cuisines from Italian to Thai to Turkish; all corners of the world are catered for. These restaurants range in prices from £10 per person to however much you want to spend, often depending on the area e.g. The quayside, or shopping mall food courts. That's another thing, boasting Intu Eldon Square and Intu Metrocentre, all shopping requirements are satiated. Newcastle night life is a huge part of the city's attraction too with bars like Soho, Livello, Jalou, The Empress, Flares and Powerhouse, all of which are marketed towards different tastes in drinks and music. There's a whole lot to do here.

The city as a whole is very student friendly. The metro service makes everything very accessible whilst being easy and affordable to travel around the city on a budget. In the city centre everything you could need is walking distance with a wide variety of clubs, bars, shops and restaurants to suit any occasion. The main clubs hold events and student based nights as well as deals on drinks therefore making the nightlife more affordable too.
