The nightlife in Manchester is one of its many highlights. There is a huge variety of events. Warehouse project, hidden, soup kitchen and the likes all provide top class music events on a weekly basis. However, the events may set you back around £15 so sometimes its nice just to head to the northern quater for drinks and late night dancing in places like matt and phreds or night and day where entry is normally free or only £3-5. Manchester has nightlife for everyone.

I love the food & the nights out. The clubs are so good especially the ones on Deansgate locks! I love going out for a nice filling meal with my friends to then end the night with a good boogie and some drinks! The drinks are a little expensive at a lot of the places in Manchester and so is the food! As lovely as it is the prices could be a little cheaper especially for students like me! The shopping in Manchester is great, they have a little bit of everything from the cheap shops like primark all the way up to selfridges. Manchester is a great town & all people are welcome which is lovely. Taxis can be a little bit dodgie at night and either not turn up or try and over price

Manchester is one of the greatest city's in England and there is always something to do! There is so much to do for absolutely free including: visiting one of the museums in Central Manchester most noteably The Football Museum. If you're a football fanatic you can visit arguably one of the best two football clubs (Manchester City and Manchester United) and have a tour of their facilities. But best of all, there's a lot of green spaces (parks, fields etc) which are perfect for a barbecue or just to have a stroll around. But if you're thinking, well I can't afford it, then fear not... because things tend to be cheap in Manchester. So nothing's holding you back now, hop on a train and go and see what the great city of Manchester has to offer!!

There are a wide variety of shops which I really like and a wide variety of restaurants. The people are really friendly and approachable. You can always find something to do here whether it's going on a night out with your friends or going to inflatanation. The night life is good with a wide variety of clubs which offer a variety of different music genres. I am happy I moved here.

Manchester is a really really impressive city; it's absolutely brimming with independent cafes, interesting architecture, amazing food and of course the famous Uni. The size of manchester is ridiculous so there is always new places to explore especially in the Northern Quarter which has unlimited quirky clothes shops, street food stalls and beautiful buildings. In terms of nights out the city offers loads of different clubs and bars; there's a lot of student nights out (such as 42s, Tektu at Joshua Brooks, and always Spoons or Squirrels) which I would 100% recommend over the standard weekend club. The city also hosts Warehouse Project which i would 100% recommend as well Parklife festival which is so convenient and an amazing festival. Fallowfield is one of the most sociable places i've ever been to and there's always something going on and everything you need is round the corner. The only issue with fallow is that it's quite far out from the city centre and the uni which means you have to rely on the bus system (which is usually okay except the 50 service!) Money wise it's not too expensive but it's definitrly not cheap, student deals are usually the best bet but avoid places like Spinningfields if you want to save money. other than that Manchester is such a beautiful city and so so homely.

Manchester is without a doubt my favourite city in the UK by far. It has the perfect mix of clubs, bars and shops. It's always alive however doesn't come with that negative city vibe, the people are nice as well which I didn't think would be the case in a city. There is a club for every genre of music you could want to listen to, from thrash metal to bashment. The arndale and Trafford centre combined have pretty much every shop you could ask for. The public transport is so easily accessible as well, you can get anywhere in the city quickly and isn't too expensive. I'm here for uni, and I know I'll be staying here after I graduate.

I fell in love with Manchester the moment I moved here from Kent. It's an amazing city which gives you everything could ever wish for. There is so much to do, for a good price, whether you're looking for day activities or night, there is something for you! It has great shopping facilities and food, but some of the best restaurants/pubs are hidden gems.

I like Manchester City centre as it has everything you may need in one place, without having to travel far for each thing. It has many good shops, high end and not. It also has things to do, like the Apollo close by, and the Trafford centre. There are also football stadiums and museums and many different things for different cultures. The restaurants are also amazing with many different cultural restaurants, from English, to American and Thai. The travel is also amazing, there are busses going everywhere as well as the trains.

Manchester is an absolutely amazing city with so much to do in it, it has a great history of music which has revolutionised the night life in the city. Transport is super accessible from pretty much anywhere and the food places located in the town centre are some of the best Iv ever had

The city of Manchester has more to offer than meets the eye with the most welcoming people and the warmest of atmospheres within the north west! The beautiful of this city is the simple variety that there is to offer if you want a bar or pub in the Northern Quarter to a swanky night out in spinning fields it's got you covered! The day life is just as viberant with shopping and food fanatics covered with the Arndale centre or GRUBs food market! It really is simple get you ticket to Piccadilly booked and enjoy a shining gem of the north west.

Friendly people, plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, clubs etc. Great atmosphere. Easy to get around, buses, trains, cabs, teams readily available. Value for money. Armadale centre and Trafford centre are good places to shop.

Really good city as it is constantly busy feels a bit like a smaller London. Great for people who love nightlife events as lots of artist tend to play and there's always something to do every night no matter what day of the week it is. You can easily walk around the city and sometimes it's quicker than getting taxis/ buses. Trams aswell are really good.

Manchester offers a wide range of opportunities for nights out and meals out with friends. From the printworks to the northern quarter, there is a wide veriety of restaurants to choose from, whether your taste be English, Chinese or Indian cuisine. What's more, the modern tram station makes commutes throughout the city, for both students and workers, efficient and stress free.

Choice of food goes from A to Z there's no question about variety. Manchester is like one giant family, everyone supports everyone and it's an amazing atmosphere. Transport is iffy but you can't really complain to say it's such a big city making so many connections. There's honest to god nothing better than a good shop in the arndale and there's always at least one shop with a sale on. No need to make a comment about value for money when everything's as cheap as it is.

Manchester is a very nice and busy city. It has large shopping centres such as the Arndale and the Trafford centre which has a variety of shops and both have a good food hall which has many different places to eat in.

Brilliant offers and value for money, its a great way of spending in your budget so you can get more for less

Shopping is fantastic. Also plenty of places for a night out. it's amazing for food choices too, so varied and so many places to go. But, as a female I find I get harassed a lot, especially around Manchester shopping areas and near the university. I have even considered taking a different route to uni that is longer just to avoid the harassment.

The perfect place for shopping with both the arndale and the trafford centre. The amount of food places is fantastic and you're always spoilt for choice. A city full of quirky bars and student club nights to let your hair down.
