It's brilliant for dining out, as it offers ranges of food cultures such as Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, etc. Or just typical English dishes, so it can suit anyone's preferred food palette. The one and only flaw I would say is how busy Manchester can be, which can't be helped but it doesn't stop it from making the experience a tad uncomfortable.

To start I'd say the nights out in Manchester are amazing, well much better than what I intilally expected. Always busy and not boring which is a good thing. I do however think the price of most places for drinks are a little pricey as s student but what can ya do. Shopping in Manchester is great, lots on offer and considering you have the Arndale or Trafford centre you don't need much more places to shop! I recently went to junkyard golf which was good , you just drink and play mini golf what else could you want. I'd recommend doing this as it's not too expensive and it is good fun. Going out to eat in Manchester is also good, lots to offer in terms of different cuisines, you can also find some hidden gems sometimes which make super tasty food. Only annoyance I have is transport which is currently an issue seemingly with the train strikes going on recently it is annoying but not much can be done.

Manchester is great in terms of Night life with many clubs providing cheaper drinks for students. Manchester also offers a range of restaurants and bars like Albert schloss, which provides amazing food, drinks and atmosphere. Aswell as a restaurant called Rudy's which sells the best pizza in Manchester at reasonable prices. You also never have to worry about transport when in Manchester as buses are always running into the early hours of the morning to help you get home safely.

Originally from Stockport; Manchester has always been a train journey away from me. It wasn't until I started University that I wanted to get involved with the local restaurants, culture and nightlife. As I have aged, some of the clubs I used to visit now feel like their aimed at the youth and I have moved on to venues and bars. Manchester Academy, Hidden and The Antwerp Mansion offer alternative nights out for people who do not enjoy chart / pop music like myself. Manchester can be costly if you fall for the tourist traps but it is definitely possible to have a good time without spending a lot of money. Still, a lot of room for improvements and I would like to see more variety for nights out.

The city is amazing, it has so many options for shopping and dining out, and an amazing nightlife scene. The people are very friendly and everything is priced much more reasonably than other big cities like London.

Went to Manchester over Christmas and was wonderful. Manchester have some amazing Christmas markets across the Cory, selling a great range of food and drink and cute little stalls. Never felt so festive! The city centre has everything you need, could spend all day in the Arndale shopping centre! Looks lovely this time of year too. Went to Cosmo buffet for food and that is definitely a 5 star from me! Food from around the globe and all you can eat for £15 each, never left somewhere so full, loved the day out and will definitely return.

Manchester is a great city to live in. There Are plenty of different atmospheres to experience, from chilled out cafes and bars to lively venues with gigs and shows. With places like the northern quarter and Spinningfields being so close yet so different culturally it's easy to have a good variety in a small amount of time. There are also small towns like Withington nearby and student populated areas like Fallowfield.

In Manchester there are so many various night out options, there's all different kinds of clubs that offer different music types, dressy clubs and the more casual clubs, cheap clubs, expensive ones etc. There are so many options for food everywhere you go in Manchester with some expensive options if you want a classy meal or some cheap options for an every day treat! Manchester is the best for shopping, with the Arndale in the City Centre and the amazing Trafford Centre close by the city centre. Living costs for students in Manchester is amazing and you're certainly able to find a beautiful flat/house for a very cheap price!

Manchester is a lovely place to go out and dine specially with a partner or a best friend. I love to go there and explore all the different food and activities they have on sometimes.

Manchester, especially at christmas time, is bouncing at night time with the addition of the christmas markets. Gives that Christmassy feel to everyone and overall boosts morale. Night life in conjunction with this is phenomenal and as they say, the mancunians and northerners know how to drink!

Manchester is a great city to go to for University. It has a really good night life, shopping and restaurants. The universities are both really good academic institutes with a really good range of courses and facilities.

The public transport is incredibly accessible - the magic buses run down Oxford Road very regularly. Also there is a wide variation of shops - The Trafford Centre and the Arndale Centre are in easy reach via buses. Furthermore, the choice of bars in Manchester is incredible - no two nights are the same.

Manchester has always been a popular city, and there's no reason it shouldn't still be. There's nightlife to suit everyone, and plenty of restaurants ranging from chains to more niche trendy local ones.

There's always different things to do here. Great nightlife, different bars and restaurants and loads of cheap places too. The tram network is reliable and allows for great access across the city. Shopping centres are good. Most importantly it's the people that make this city great.

Transport is great around Manchester, with the Metrolink service, 2 railway stations, and always an uber nearby. Nights out are great whatever you're looking for as different districts cater for any budget. Shopping centres like the trafford centre and arndale are massive and have everything you need. Manchester has a huge restaurant network with loads of huge chains plus one-off restaurants serving great food in the northern quarter. With the city being primarily student based, value for money is excellent with loads of student discounts on everything from coffee to cinemas.
